Hmm ask him to send another as its faulty. The buffers will likely be ok as the way Pioneer set the panel up the buffers wont get hit with the shorted load.Leave a comment:

Re: Pioneer lx6090 2 x flashing red light at start up
Here an update,
I have solder today all the faulty IC from the new board and changed with them from my board as they where still ok but still the same problem, now the Vsus came up up to around 7VDC. If i disconnect the flat cable to the mainboard i think the led flashes 3 times instead of the 2.
Can i check if the buffer board are ok as now all the ic's looks okLeave a comment:

Re: Pioneer lx6090 2 x flashing red light at start up
Did some investigation and checked the IC's from the new board. Almost all of them are shorted (the ones that are fitted against the aluminium cooling blocks), only 2 not so probably the other ydrive is a faulty one. Are the IC parallel on each, so if one is shorted the other measure also faulty, do you need to desolder these to check or can i figure out witch is faulty or could these all faulty as well ?Last edited by kamei10; 03-31-2016, 04:00 AM.Leave a comment:

Yeah I think that board is bad ask him to swap it. Doubt the buffer is shot if it it not easy to fix as its bonded to the screen.Leave a comment:

Re: Pioneer lx6090 2 x flashing red light at start up
I just did some mesurements, No Vsus , Vadr is 75VDC
The board i bought was from ebay but the seller has almost 2000 pos fb, so i think it should be ok as it came from a cracked screen.
Is it possible to check if one of the buffer boards is dead ?
I tried some more things, mesure everytime with some connector less connected to the ydrive board.
Got always the same results, only the vsus come back if i disconnect the big white connector, not when i disconnect some the other connectors
on the ydrive board, for me it looks that the yboard is not a good one but i can be wrongLast edited by kamei10; 03-30-2016, 11:31 AM.Leave a comment:

Hi guys, here an update:
I received the mr1712 chip and replaced but it don't work, now the red light flashing 3 times instead of 2 as before, should i need to replace the hole y drive or could it be another problem with the tv ?
Maybe is it not good soldered than as i mesure now the vsus and VAD
Where on the board i could mesure that the chip was good connected ?Last edited by kamei10; 03-21-2016, 04:23 PM.Leave a comment:

They're good too, but I'd take a U50B anyway haha. ZT60 and VT60 are reference level, but hardly any difference between them in dark room.Leave a comment:

Re: Pioneer lx6090 2 x flashing red light at start up
You don't want a VT50 or VT/ZT60? For the next few years i'll stick with my VT50 unless i can get a ZT60.Leave a comment:

Re: Pioneer lx6090 2 x flashing red light at start up
Kuro is in the lounge, like it should be. I have a Panasonic U30B in the bedroom which has a very good picture. In fact if I get a U50B or similar 50" or more, I'll likely sell the Kuro and put the U50B in its place. The Kuro needs tweaking again to keep it from maldischarging now, I have got the black level so low but it's aged over the past year.Leave a comment:

Re: Pioneer lx6090 2 x flashing red light at start up
Hi guys, here an update.
Took the board with me to work and someone checked the board with more knowledge of electronics experience as me and he find the fault almost immidiatly without measure it.
Could it be this one that is faulty as the 2 right legs are really burned in.
Where can i order some new one ?

Re: Pioneer lx6090 2 x flashing red light at start up
Try eBay! But i would also replace the components that Tom said. Trust me , he knows a lot about Pioneer TV's and if he says these are failing then i would buy these also. I think he still uses his Kuro in the bedroom haha.Leave a comment:

Re: Pioneer lx6090 2 x flashing red light at start up
That is not the fault, the outer two legs are shorted on the board by design (they are also internally connected inside the device)
The most likely fault is one of three pairs of transistors. I've highlighted one in this image. These are the SUS_UP and SUS_DN transistors. There are another two pairs, mounted along the side of the board closest to the buffer board.
I do see the board is not terribly expensive:

So it may be worth just swapping it out,Leave a comment:

by 7onyThe TV is a 2013 Samsung plasma, model # PN60F5300AFXZA.
Snagged it up in non-working condition a couple years ago. Previous owner said that sometimes he could get it to come on after repeated tries but other than that he couldn't get it to turn on.
Personally I haven't been able to get it to turn on at all. The standby light comes on solid when plugged in, but pressing the power button results in the standby light flashing once every 4 or so seconds. No "click" noises, no light from the panel at all. Just the flashing standby light.

by BloopetaHave a Samsung UE43KU6400U that will not turn on, just continuous flashing red standby light.
Power button does nothing
Have unplugged the mainboard, and backlights illuminate.
Have tried removing panel ribbon cables one at a time, and that makes no change.
With mainboard unplugged, all voltages from powerboard seem ok, but with mainboard connected, they never quite reach full voltage, and drop and raise in a constant loop (in time with click noise from mainboard.
Using backlight tester, I get 63.6v on both sides, so seems like no bulbs... -
by fuxxyThis is a set I posted about a few years ago. Replaced LED strips and worked fine until now.
Plug the set in, and it will turn on and functions with no issues.
After a while, (sometimes hours, sometimes minutes, sometimes immediately) the tv shuts off. When I approach the TV I notice the standby light is flashing rapidly, but the pulse of each flash is not long enough to notice from afar.
Other than the standby light, the unit is completely unresponsive until the power is removed and reapplied, then the cycle starts over. It does appear that the time it takes... -
Hello everyone,
I got a Samsung The Frame 55 inch TV for free from uncle cause it is not turning on anymore. I am in the second year of training as an electrician so I have knowledge already but I am far away from to be a pro.
The TV has Standby but ist not turning on. A Friend of mine owns a 50 inch Frame TV so I checked the One Connect Box and the One Connect Cable there. Both are good and working normally. I have opened the TV case and measured some voltages on the Board.
What I already found is that the 12.8V are not an the connector to the main board connector to the power... -
by esqmoooHello everyone.
This is my development machine. I've been using it since two years and half without any problem except sometimes it wouldn't wake up from sleep.
Lately the issue became more frequent and powering it up would take few seconds to show the POST screen.
Then the computer refuses to power on at all. Now only the caps lock button flashes 7 times then stops. The charging light is always on whenever a power source is connected (battery or charger).
I tried long pressing on the power button, after several seconds it would go off then when the button is released... - Loading...
