    Toshiba 17mb65s-s

    Typo: 17MB65S-3

TV works great but no sound from speakers. Sound does come from the audio jack so no need to replace the audio IC. Done some research on this issue and the next issue can be those ceramic caps. Can someone tell me their values or provide a schematic?

    See red:

    Yellow for audio ic:

Look for the obvious. See if the caps you circled are shorted, check with an oscilloscope where you lose the audio. Maybe the headphone jack is bad etc.

Thanks but headphone jack is ok. Two caps are 100% shorted.

Looks like an RC snubber, and since each channel is the same frequency then they're likely to all be the same value. A multimeter may be able to measure them.

Trust me common issue on them boards is the firmware glitches out then no audio on anything, go to first time installation and reset it and re-tune ect should work ive done a few of these.

Cheers I had that one needed a re-flow but I did first time install is so probably firmware glitching so inconclusive. I did a 37" Toshiba same mobo the other day no sound all it needed was a reset and done a few before. Give it a try and let us know buddy

It removes higher frequency components in the output signal from the class-D amp by shunting them to ground via a resistor. Energy is dissipated in that resistor.

I think you are see the DCR of the speakers, remove the speakers connector and check again.
What id the P/N of that class D chip? The headphone output is probably driven by small OPAMPS.

Correct the Amp for the ear phone ports in integrated in the main Cpu but the amp is driven separately as you know. However the firmware on these always seems to mess up and the Tv no longer runs the main speaker amp a simple reset should fix it in my case anyway.

If this is a 40 inch set before changing anything try doing a first time installation re tune, I dont know why but this usually cures the fault you have, if its not a 40 inch you may have to do a factory reset.

Badically what I said... But it doesnt matter I have done first time installs on a 37" and 32" and worked fine why would it make a difference ? Same board, same firmware yes 40" plus use different amps but still applies too all. This is a 46" I think too.
