I have this Samsung with vertical lines. They are evenly placed on the screen, making me think it's not a panel problem. Is that caused by the upper scan drive or the XSUS?

Re: Samsung PN50B430P2D with vertical lines
Yes Plasmas use a Tcon lol otherwise known as the control board (in the centre of the set normally) but they do basically the same job. Please Do Not PM My Page Asking For Help Badcaps Is The Place For Advise, Page Linked For Business Reasons Only. Anyone Doing So Will Be Banned Instantly !

Re: Samsung PN50B430P2D with vertical lines
My buddy popped into my house to look at the tv. The main board is a BN94-02802C. The logic board is a LJ92-01700A. I asked him to do the logic board test but he couldn't get the test pattern. He jumpered 3 to 4 and pulled the right ribbon cable. He said the tv turned on but it was a blank screen. Is that a main board or is that he's doing it wrong?Comment

Re: Samsung PN50B430P2D with vertical lines
Hi Guys,
I have the same tcon board, the LJ92-01700A,
My set does not give off the precharge flash on startup. I am not sure if the fault is on the X, Y or main logic board so i read up here about the AUTO GEN test where you short out pin 3 & 4 with the LVDS cable unplugged but i get nothing, no precharge or any image. Just the relay kicking in and out every 8 seconds trying to restart.
How do i go about pin pointing on which obard the problem is????
Regards

Re: Samsung PN50B430P2D with vertical lines
Just for information. PLASMA TVs does not have a T-CON Bd. The correct name is LOGIC Control Bd. LCD and LED TVs have a T-CON Bd. Though both boards to basically the same work, when we are referring to a PLASMA TV we say LOGIC Control Bd and T-CON Bd when referring to LCD and LED TVs
I thought I should explain this so as not to confuse the 'Newbie' and for any critics to this Forum who may read this Thread.Comment

by afexThis is my 2nd broken TV I'm trying to fix and haven't been able to figure out... currently going without any working TVs so am hoping to be able to fix one..
This Samsung PN50B430P2D Plasma has this big block of vertical lines which will fade in shortly after turning the TV on. The lines will sometimes flicker a bit or fade in/out and sometimes it just stays present. The length of time it takes them to appear varies, sometimes its a few minutes and other times it appears immediately after powering on.

by Stanley1843Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

by x_orange90_xI posted about this previously but didn't get any response, and I have some troubleshooted a bit so I have more info.
The screen is full of horizontal "gaps" or lines that distort the picture badly, and after about 10 seconds of powering it on the screen starts to fill with red vertical bars that take on the horizontal pattern. After the screen filled with the red bars, they instantly vanished and then slowly started to reappear. I initially thought it was tab bonding failure, but after getting down to them and pressing each one I find zero change in the picture. I went... -
by polaroGreetings,
I've bought a used Samsung UN65NU6900FXZC LED TV. It worked fine for some time and then developed, at first, a single very thin (1 pixel) vertical stable blue line, from top to bottom, close to the left edge of the screen. Now it's 3 lines on the left. When I connect HDMI sources the number of the thin lines grow. After disconnecting and cold discharging I am back to 2 lines. The lines disappear at a rate of 15-20 minutes per line. So it does not look like a damaged LED panel. Any advice? Thanks... -
