    Hi nomoresonys,

    Thanks for the speedy reply!

I think I can indeed follow the video in general, but unfortunately the inverter board model I am dealing with (BN44-00264B) is laid out quite differently than the inverter board used in the video :-\.

Would you happen to know where I could find a circuit diagram for the BN44-0264B board?

Ah, I see, yes very different, might find the diagram there: https://elektrotanya.com/

It's a Samsung LN40B540P8F. I'm not sure if it was from the above site, but I was able to find a ZIP of PDF documents, all attached. Unfortunately, they don't show the specific circuit diagram/schematic for the Inverter Board, BN44-00264B.

          Tekelectra might have more?

Need to be VERY CAREFUL around the inverter and where it plugs into the backlights can be over 1000 DEADLY volts in that area with lcd ccfl backlit tvs, also the hot/primary side of the powerboard has some DEADLY voltages. With caution can you tell if one of the transformers on inverter is hotter than the others?

Try with ac power cord unplugged, unplug cable from powerboard to mainboard leave it out, plug power cord back into powerboard turn tv on, see if backlights come on and stay on without blinking or flashing.

Not a cure but might help: Navigate to Settings, select Picture, and then select Picture Mode, set to standard, turn the backlights back down, not sure if all inputs will hold the standard setting or not, the vivid mode is just a backlight killer.

It sure does seem like a bad lamp or inverter transformer as pertained in this thread. Suppose it could be another component on the inverter bad/weak cap etc, sometimes you can get a peek at the ends of the ccfl tubes, if they are dark or black they are probably weak or bad but you might have to do some disassembly which is a bit of a pain but you want to do all the testing you can before that in case it's something else and if you break or crack the VERY flimsy screen then it's pretty much game over.

Guess you measure the resistance of the transformers, looks like from the bottom of the board if one is a lot different then it could be it. I see a transformer at shopjimmy there: https://www.shopjimmy.com/catalogsea.../?q=LN40B530p7
