    Vizio VW42l wont come on. No 12 volts

    I am new to this board, didn't even know it existed until several days ago.
    I have been following several threads that are going on in the TV troubleshooting Forum,
    and am very impressed with the amount of technical expertise that is evident here.
    Now to my question. I have a Vizio Model vw42l unit that I am trying to fix for my son.
    When I try to power it up with the power on button, nothing happens. No logo light or back
    light. On checking the voltages on the main board, I have no 12v supply. I have checked the
    fuses and they are both good. Fuse F1 has 5.17v on both sides, but F2 has 0 volts on both
    sides. I do not have a schematic so I dont know where to go from here. Regulator U44 has
    no voltage on any pins. Does anyone know where I should start looking? (Sorry about the
    photos, I tried three cameras)

    Board # 0171-2272-2434

    Outputs going to main board:
    PSON = 0.00
    12V = 0.00
    SGND = .00v
    5V = 5.17v
    A = 0.00
    B = 0.00

    Inverter Board:
    Fuse tested good

    Main Board:
    Both fuses tested good.
    One fuse has 5.17 on both sides of fuse
    The other fuse has 2 v on both sides

    Voltage Regulators:

    No PS-ON from the main board to turn on the power supply, A/B for BL-ON and DIM are also missing.
    How about uploading good clear pictures of the whole back side of the TV so we can see all the boards and then the pictures of each board?
    Is that ALL of the regulator ICs on the main board?

      Vizio M65-C1
      by mrtek
      Hi.

      picked up another TV. This time is a Vizio M65-C1. TV does not turn on. I had repaired another 60 inch vizio , Bad main board.
      When power button is pressed, the Power led indicator on the bottom right, turns for a few seconds and then it fades away. No backlight or Vizio logo on screen. Removed back cover and repeated test.
      This is the TV This TV is a little different from the Samsung I have worked on. Power supply is on the Left side, Main Bd is on the right side, T-CON , not in the picture is on the bottom. I am assuming that the boards in the middle are the LED...

      Vizio M65Q7-H1 Red Vertical Strips fixed by tape blocking LC1 signal to half of the panel
      by howardc64
      Failure Symptom

      No picture, just red vertical stripes. Google search shows quite common problem for these recent Vizio M series although red vertical stripe pattern may differ. Some call it "Netflix" boot screen haha.

      Where is the short?

      Panel has 4x buffer boards. Quickly found the 1/4 panel buffer board with the problem by selectively disconnecting buffer board flex cables.

      Having recently fixed another Vizio with similar symptoms that was a shorted ESD diode array ( link ) Probed the ESD diode array but...

      PS5 digital / No Power / No Beep / Good power supply
      by MisterAIL
      Hi everyone,

      Brought a non functionnal PS5. Apparently only a bad PSU...
      No beep, nothing.

      After some tests i found this :
      - PSU is fine (12 volts stable)
      - 12 volts line is shorted
      - DA9065 was fried, F7003 also => Replaced both of them, short is gone on 12 volts line, no dead short anywhere else.
      - By the way, nothing change. No signal, no power, no beep.

      Mesuring all rails with my workbench psu (12 volts input)
      - 0.00 amp drawing
      - 12 volts, 5 volts, 2 volts, 1,15 volts are presents (suppose new DA9065 do is...

      Fishing bite alarm drains battery
      by Mcfeetroy
      Good day to all. The bite alarm drains 9-volt Krona batteries. Current consumption when switched on is about 50 mA. I wiped the board from oxides, I will attach a photo (on the board there is a j3y transistor and a 7533 stabilizer, the microcircuit is erased = (the 3.3-volt stabilizer heats up weakly. I replaced it, nothing changed. I unsoldered the microcircuit, the consumption disappeared. The resistance on the pins of the unsoldered microcircuit from the point clockwise is more than 2 megaohms, the 11th leg is presumably ground. I warmed up the microcircuit, the consumption does not change....

      Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
      by Tynan Dill
      I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

      Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

      I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

      The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

      With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

      Assuming...
