I've always been told its dearer to replace a Tv screen than just buying a new Tv. Is this true as i was today told of a samsung 65'' screen being replaced for £600 i was in shock

    Re: Replacement Tv screen

LCD panel is the most expensive part of the whole TV, so I am not surprised for it to be very high.

yes i know but i thought £600 for a 65'' was cheap as it must be worth at least £1100 repaired

Google for LCD displays , most of the times it starts at around 600/700$ without shipping. And normally only company's can buy these screens......

Wish they sold them somewhere cheap , i would have quit my job and repair tv's only!
I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!
