samsung ps43d450 slight pink/purple blotch on certain bakgrounds?

basicaly title sums it up,I haavve a ps43d450 plasma and on light backgrounds "Sometimes" see like a large thumb print of purple/pink in center of the screen, not always noticable.

is there any fix? or a proper name for this? so i can search, hope someone understands what i am trying to describe thanks.

Turn Vs up by 5v and possibly other sustain voltages up by a few volts.

If that fails you might possibly need a firmware update, what happens if the firmware over time is suppose to adjust the sustain/drive waveforms that drive the panel this is because as the panel ages you get distortions if it drives it like it does from new. Normally the firmware in these over works and pixels get lazy which causes pink banding.

Thanks for the fast reply, im not total noob when comes to things like this, but can you point me to in the right direction for the procedure of turning the vs up? or give me some tips.

Also my nana had the tv from neww andcan gurentee it chance never had a firmware update, were do i get new firmware?

adjust VS using the picture i have uploaded and i have circled where the VS adjustment is i would advise marking it before adjustment

Do i need power on? as i just been reading and they say to have power on that seems aa bit iffy to me as thats the power board?

would you recommend a firmware update first?

try the firmware update if you want first and yes adjust the VS while the tv is on just be careful when adjusting the pot and you dont slip with your screw driver adjust the pot then see if the pink banding gets better

Also there is no limit to what you can turn Vs upto, you can put it at its max and the Tv will be fine image may be too bright and washed out though but won't cause any damage.

ok guys i turned the vs up and got rid the purple blotch, i have now noticed a slight green tint in the center of the screen only seen only white or very light backgroounds? can anyone exxplain or direct me to sorting this?

I have tried many picture settings, ie: chaing the tint more to the red etc to no avail

Whats Vscan at ? Normally turning Vs and Vsc up will sort this Ive done a few of these.

iv looked and cant see vsc, i found vs and that sorted the purple blotch.
I would assume it was on the pcb near vs but i looked everywere and cant see it?

VSc is on The Y-SUS board to the Left of the PSU (Vs) board....

Dont increase the Va, this will not help and can stress the COF chips along the bottom -and are part of-the plasma panel.

What you are trying to compensate for is aging of the plasma-panel itself, and depending on how bad can be covered up for a while--or not depending on age.

Turn set off by remote--press (in quick succession) Info, Menu, Mute, Power, and look for the Panel Time On.
--Guessing in the order of 10-15,000 hours.....

Shame, these D series never lasted well like the older A/Q series. Ive got a 42Q97 at 27,000 hours, with no panel issues at all--Even when at -2 degrees C!.....

ohh yea the TV has 265hr onit due to me sleeping with it on etc, other than what started developing the TV has been perfect and still is, other people don't even notice the problem, i know its there so cant help but see it every time lol

i just did one of these vscan is on the ysus board turn it up a bit and then let run for hours so its hot to check it doesnt come back, then do a cold start like following morning see if the fault happens again
vscan adjustment is below the yellow transformer on the left hand board looking from the back its inbetween a couple of caps, also inspect boards for dry joints. mine had a few which doesnt help,

You say turn it up, clockwise our anti-clockwise? im guesing clockwise like the vs?
