Hi,
Bit of background - Was watching the T.V when it just lost picture still had sound - Can see the power light on the T.V flash when I press the buttons on the remote - Turning it on the power light comes on then flashes around 5/6 times and then goes off I think this is possibly indicating no source/signal but not sure.. Can stick one in if needed.
No flicker or anything just panel stays dark when powering up.
I am new to this so went out and grabbed a multimeter and hit youtube to watch some videos on troubleshooting.
I followed the troubleshooting guide here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Rc9awtZ5_E
My Vs when I power on reads 207 as expected but rapidly falls off and stops at 10 Va does the same reads 57 then drops off to 0.
If I disconnect the controller board or the cable to the Y-Sus board then its still the same - the voltage just drops off straight away after power on it reads the correct 207 voltage for less than a second.
If i disconnect the cable from the bottom right board in the video (board with vga/usb etc) to the one in the middle where I measure Vs and Va then I get no Vs or Va on voltage and the TV doesnt power on if i hotplug this cable in the TV then powers on and same symptom occurs
Being a noob I am not sure what to do next.
I followed a thread on here with the same problem also
https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=22449
but this was never resolved and I think my problem may be a little different as my vs voltage never stabilized with both cables disconnected from the main centre board (not sure the name for this) my T.V would no power on and with only the y-sus disconnected there was no difference.
Any help appreciated on what I should try and replace or look at next?
Cheers
