I picked up the TV from the dump so I have 0 into it. I brought it home and first checked for bad capacitors. All checked out well and I plugged it in. I heard the relay click and the standby red led comes on steady. The screen didn't turn on or even prime. If I hold down the power button it clicks once again and when I let go it clicks 3 times. Any help would be awesome. Thanks.

Re: Panasonic tc-p50x3 won't turn on
You need the remote for these. I brought a couple a month back both "stuck in standby" owners lost the remote. After using a remote both I had they worked perfect. Please Do Not PM My Page Asking For Help Badcaps Is The Place For Advise, Page Linked For Business Reasons Only. Re: Panasonic tc-p50x3 won't turn on
Ok I'll give that a try. Do they have a universal remote or does it have to be made specifically for that model TV?Comment

Re: Panasonic tc-p50x3 won't turn on
With a Panasonic--All you need do--
Is hold Vol+ (Or F+ if its the multifunction type) button on set down for 5-10 seconds.
Set will fire up if all is well-- or try to then give blink code if not!
I use almost exclusively the remotes from B&M, Bit more expensive but usually ALL the functions work correctly (plus I remember all the usual codes for 'em)--Except on any Vestel crap--and I don't bother with those turds much these days--I leave 'em for the part-timer!Last edited by Alastair E; 01-04-2016, 04:43 PM.TELEFIX

Now that procedure is just on the remote only? Not on the set itself? I ordered the correct remote and it should be here Thursday. With a Panasonic--All you need do--

Re: Panasonic tc-p50x3 won't turn on
Ok thanks. I'm hoping this is all the problem is and hoping the previous owners didn't put any effort into trying to figure out what the problem is prior to bringing it to the dump. I'll post the results in 8 hours! HahaComment

Ok so I just tried holding the vol + button for 5 seconds probably more with the standby light on and nothing happened. I'm not sure what to do next.Comment

Re: Panasonic tc-p50x3 won't turn on
I don't have the manual at the moment but you could try disconnecting all these at the one time. being a HD model this will have the SS ERC cct connected to the Sn board so there is always a chance either board could take each other out.
disconnect, sn2, ss11, p35, 3 white ribbons at the A-board. Try turning it on and see if it powers up, say back probe vsus at the p-board if it comes up then the Tv is running . Seems to be debatable wheteher you need a remote or not. i'm surprised if you can't wake it using the side buttons all of mine I can 2009-2011 models but this is a Tv in a different region to me so whatever.Comment

by Noah GlasseHi all,
I've got a LG 50PK590 plasma TV which upon plugging in will click three times and the red LED in the corner will come on and stay on, the TV however doesn't come on (no humming, sound, video, etc.) and using the touch controls or the remote does nothing. On exceptionally odd occasions, the TV will come on and work normally when plugged in and will last about 5 minutes before going back to off and unresponsive.
I've got the back off of it and none of the caps stand out as visibly buggered, I've also tested the three resistors in the corner of the power board which...02-24-2025, 07:23 AM -
by pajdekHello, i have some issues with my laptop Lenovo Y700-17ISK (motherboard BY511 NM-A541), it started when i turn on the laptop, but the lcd wont turn on, i then connected it via hdmi to tv and screen was ok. Conncted power supply and tuned on my laptop, the lcd turn on, it started to load os, then it turn off, after a second it turn on, then after like 3 seconds turn off again, and so on. Removed power supply, waited...

by BigPeteI picked up a Panasonic NH-P70G2, though it would apply to the NH-P80G2, NH-P70G1 and NH-P80G1 models as well, as maybe some other models. This one was coming up with a H86 error. After lots of testing and googling it was an error with one of the thermistors in the condenser area.
The attached French service manuals is incorrect, TH11 is gray and is a 95k thermistor and TH12 is black and is a 35k thermistor.
In my case TH12 was bad. I was able to get a 35k thermistor on AliExpress. It's 6mm in diameter.
Unfortunately the whole machine has to come apart to fix it.

by TrolHope you can help me

3 weeks ago my Panasonic suddenly blinked red in the power led. So I tried to turn it off and on with the remote, no luck. I then turned it off via the power outlet. After that I tried to turn it on again, but nothing happened. No lights and no picture or sound.
Now I have tried different solutions, taking the power for 1 hour - taking the power for one Day - changing power outlet - holding the buttons on the TV down for several seconds, and even minutes. And nothing seems to help, the only thing that happens is that there is a sound, like a relay... -
by mostachioHi Badcaps,

If possible could I please get some advice in terms of diagnosing the problem so I can purchase the appropriate parts for repair whether it be components, a repair kit or a replacement board. I am happy to post pictures if required.
