LG 60PZ570 Red Dots - Confirm mainboard issue

    Hi,

    I have a 60PZ570 LG plasma.
It is riddled with red dots.
I thought initially it was the inductors that needed reflowing on the ZSUS. While they did need reflowing it didn't fix the problem. All the main voltages are fine.
One of the voltages going to the control board was 16.5V instead of 17V, is it possible it is too low causing incorrect discharge?
I initiated the test pattern on the control board and the test pattern was fine indicating the issue is with the mainboard. At some points the screen with the mainboard connected, corrects itself making the problem an intermittent one.
Is there anything on the mainboard I can check to find the faulting component.
Is it the mainboard? or is it the input side of the control board?

    Thanks

    Pete

The mainboard was the problem. I replace it and the problem is gone.

Samsung HG49EE690 Hospitality TV reboot issue Mainboard BN94-11086A
        by alltvrepairs
        Hi,

I have 3 of these TVs for repair with same problem of going to standby after around 10minutes and start again continuously. I have tried a new SPI 25Q40 but fault remains. Am suspecting a CPU problem as it gets a bit hotter than I expect.
This seems to be a common problem in these models. I am 100% sure it is a mainboard issue as I have fitted a spare from a normal TV from a UE40K5607 and stays on (diplay inverted but I managed to rotate in SM using a different display).

        Any help appreciated!...

Samsung DM32D – Red LED blinks 5 times, won’t start (possible mainboard issue)
        by Nairolf
        Hello,

        I have a Samsung DM32D display.
When I try to power it on, the red LED blinks 5 times and nothing happens—the unit won’t start.

Here’s what I have tried so far:
        1. Disconnected the cable between the mainboard and the power supply → the backlight turns on.
        2. Disconnected the main T-CON ribbon cable → same issue as before, the LED still blinks 5 times.
        3. Disconnected one of the two T-CON ribbons to the panel (tested each one separately) → same issue, the LED blinks 5 times.

From these tests, I suspect the problem might be on the mainboard. Could anyone...

PS5 Dualsense controller stick drift a mainboard issue?
        by dbuergi
        Hi all,

I got a controller where the left stick was moving left all the time (-1.00 at calibration tool). Even after changing to hall effect sticks it stayed the same and reset and all others things didn't help.
I removed the stick again and even without it calibration tool shows a movement to the left. Anybody knows where the fault can come from? Maybe any bridges or damaged SMD components?

Acer Swift 3 SF314-42 not powering up
        by rutgerv
        Dear all,

For a friend I'm trying to repair an Acer Swift 3 laptop (SF314-42). I'm not a professional, but have some experience (both as amateur and professional) in working with electronic design and repair of musical instruments.

The issue with the Acer laptop is the following:
It was bought new and used (not heavily) at home for about three years. After normal use, it was put to sleep, connected to charger and left over night (just like any other day). The next morning, the laptop would not wake up from sleep. Instead, when pressing the power button, the power...

Sony KDL-65W850C is this a Mainboard issue ??
        by mmartell
This sat around for quite some time after the backlights died with the six blink error code. I bought replacement strips and eventually swapped them in.

Backlights appear to be working fine now. However the tv only powers on with the "Sony" logo for about two seconds after which it goes away and the panel with backlights stay powered for about twenty more seconds then it shuts off. Tv can only be powered again after power cycling at the outlet.

It will not program via usb, the stick flashes but there is never any indication that it has entered programming...
