Re: Hitachi 32HXC01 - another Vestel joke
Hi guy's. I'm after a bit of advice. I've been looking for a replacement 17MB82-1a 23111172 to replace my dead board (PSU and LED Board appear OK) but can't find anything available anywhere.
If I get a 17MB82-1a and swap out the 2 eprom chips would this be enough to get it to power up? (or is it likely to be the winbond bios chip's that have failed)
TIA

Re: Hitachi 32HXC01 - another Vestel joke
Got the Tv here, I was able to get it to fire on by heating the mainboard I copied the firmware on to a usb through NVRAM download in the SM and reflashed it (spi flash chips can be temperature sensitive) after reflashing it and letting it cool back to square one. So time to keep diagnosing
Also someone has tampered with the Psu and broke some traces on it so got to fix that as wellLeave a comment:

Re: Hitachi 32HXC01 - another Vestel joke
Ok. So, when you receive the tv, you can post an image of model of panel, to see if it's like this (LC320DXJ-SFE1):
http://**************/dump/lcd_pdp_tv/hitachi/lcd_led_tv_hitachi_32hxc01_sh_17mb82_2/242-1-0-10820
Ok but, you know, my english is not very good.....Don't know if I'm going to understand you, or if even you are going to understand me...... But.....don't you think would be better to open a thread and share your experience? Then, we can show people how to make dumps of those eeproms.....and how to write a file to an eeprom.Leave a comment:

Re: Hitachi 32HXC01 - another Vestel joke
The programmer is soooooo chip!!! But.....you have to do it by yourself!!!! And, if you don't have a parallel port computer, you can ask a friend....
There's another option of an usb programmer, CH341A, for a price of about 3 dollars (search on ebay).
The test clips socket adapter has a price of about 4 dollars. Do you think it's expensive??? You can try to do this:
Maybe you think it's dangerous to solder wires on eeprom pins...... Let's see:

[QUOTE=Augustus;611022]You need 2 things:
- An spi flash programmer. I have used this one with success (it works by paralell port):
are they cheap? not sure if i have anything with a paralell port lolLeave a comment:

- An spi flash programmer. I have used this one with success (it works by paralell port):
- SOIC8 SOP8 Flash Chip IC Test Clips Socket Adapter (or to solder one wire to each pin of eeprom):
And, of course, the program for make the dump. I have used this one with success: http://rayer.g6.cz/programm/programe.htm#SPIPGM
Two things are important on vestel tv (and, in general, in all tv): the panel, and the main board. If you have a dump of both flash eeprom of an especific vestel tv, would be useful for other one if the panel and the main board are the same. I think the main thing is the model of panel, while main board is maybe not so important if they are not exactly the same (less or more usb or hdmi, etc). Of course, I'm talking about 17MB82.
Then, you can make a dump of both flash eeproms.Last edited by Augustus; 11-28-2015, 02:38 PM.Leave a comment:

Re: Hitachi 32HXC01 - another Vestel joke
Fixed the one I picked up todayShorted 24v diode, replaced all output diodes and all is good
The 32HXC01U uses a 17IPS19-5 Psu and 17MB82-2 which is slightly more reliable then the 17MB95S-1 boards in my experience.Leave a comment:

Re: Hitachi 32HXC01 - another Vestel joke
Hi, like other people said, it's possible you have a corrupt firmware, who is present on two flash eeproms.
Would be good you post a complet image of the main board, and a image of the model of the panel.
In the main board, what is the serigraphed reference (I think it's a 17MB82-X)?Leave a comment:

by AskicHello guys,
I have 32 inch Hitachi TV with Vestel PSU board 17IPS71. Tv was working normally and I shut it down normally via remote control.
The next morning it couldn't turn ON neither with remote controller or via button on the logic board.
There is a red standby LED ON, so it is not dead totally.
I have examined the PSU board and I cannot find find any traces of blown components or bulged caps. Electrolytic caps are manufactured by Elite.
I also check diodes and big MOSFET (with cooler/heatsink). It seems OK.
Can you tell me based on... -
by EnricoS92Hello,
I have a problem with this tv Hitachi with vestel 17MB171 board.
I turned off a couple days ago and the next morning when I turned on it had the issue, i tried to left the power unplugged for several hours but nothing.
The tv turns on shows the logo picture and after a few seconds reboots, and start over again.
I was able to connect via uart to the tv and grab the log I attached, it has logged 3 reboots.
I believe it is a corrupted software, but I could not find any online, does anyone has it, or where to download.... -
by France_53Hello everyone from Italy, I'm here to ask for help on a Vestel TV, I've had a Vestel TV branded "XD" with a broken screen for years, but now I've found a Telefunken (still Vestel but older) and I've mounted the panel on the "XD" TV, it works, but the screen is upside down, given that Vestel does not allow you to rotate the image from the service menu, does anyone know how to solve the problem? the original panel is marked ves315WNDS-2D-N12 while the main board 17mb110, the panel I mounted instead in the tv (from the telefunken) is a ves315WNDA-02. ... It is not worth repairing...

by RuptorI couldn't find any other thread that matches my TV problem but have been told it is a common fault. The fault is a flashing LED as if it is in upgrade mode that happens after a few seconds and stays forever. I can't remember all the tricks that have been tried like holding the select button when powering on but nothing worked. The shop sent me a flash drive to plug in a USB port but that did nothing either and they said it was dead which is disgusting for a piece of solid state electronics. I took the back off eventually after removing 34 screws to check for blown caps but everything looks new...
