    Re: Magnavox 32ME303V/F7

So if I understand right the main board is bad? Is it in some how fixable?

I did test the BL-ON While pushing the power button and no change whatsoever in the voltage.

I also measure the pins that come from the power supply to the main board and found some with 21v others with 0v and others with 3.3v I don't know if it is relevant but I just did.

You can first disconnect the BL-ON wire going back to the main board first and then hook up 1K 1/4W resistor between the 3.3V pin and the BL-ON pin to see if you will get the backlights and the pictures on the screen if other functions of the main board are OK.

Please forgive my ignorance and thank you for your patience but how could I disconnect the BL-ON as I understand it goes through the flex from the PS to the Main Board, right? That means I would have to cut the flex? if so How could Identify which part of the flex is the BL-ON

You could unsolder one end of the jumper wire marked BL-SW.
I think you would want to unsolder the south end of the jumper closest to the ribbon connector.

Thank you ron350, Just to clarify before doing anything stupid. I am going to unsolder the south end of the J169 (BL-SW) and hook up a 1K 1/4W resistor from the unsoldered end to an end of the J170 (3.3V) then energize and power on right?

Does the resistor have a way to solder it like polarity?

              Correct.
This way you don't back feed the 3.3V to the main board and maybe destroy it.

I apologize for the time in responding.

I did as instructed and got nothing the red led is still on but nothing when try to power on. I used the 1k 1/4w from BL to the 3.3 v

Does this mean that the power supply is bad?

                  Re: Magnavox 32ME303V/F7

Sorry for bumping a dead thread, but there never was a fix revealed in this thread and, just encase anyone searches this model TV I thought I would post the fix.
BTW my TV is a Funai LF320FX4F which is basically the same TV.

Symptoms: When first plugged in the standby light blinks red 4 times then lights solid. pressing the power button on the TV or remote does nothing.
                  All voltages on the PSU correct except at the locations near CN501. J169 P-ON +21V= 0v and J168 BL-SW = 0v.

The Fix: In my case I replaced the main board and the TV is now back to working. You could probably troubleshoot the issue down to the component level on the main board, but in my case I took the easy road and replaced the board.

Hi is any one can help me on getting the Schematics for Magnavox MDR515H/F7 And Magnavox MDR537H/F7 PDF file thank you I really appreciate it. Just need to change some component on
the main board and the power supply board. I looked all over for the internet and I cannot find the Schematics sheet for both of them. I don't know where else to look I hope someone can help me...

                    Inverting op amp follow up
                    by DAVEMAC02
Follow up to my op amp diagram of Q208 FET and IC204 for NJM 2068M op amp. I took took the following DCV readings on the Q208 (2SK246) and IC204 pins:
                    pin 1 0v, pin 2, 0v, pin 3 0v, pin 4 -15.6v, pin 5 0v, pin 6 .08, pin 7 0v, pin 8 +15.9v

Q208 source -.006, gate -15.5v, drain -.102. These readings are from the op amp Q208 that has no output on pin 1. I don't know what state ie (On or Off ) Q208 should be when op amp is working correctly. This circuit is on the filter/limiter stage of the PA system. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Magnavox 27MS5402/17 CRT - no picture, flashing green light
                    by sudz28
I'm going to assume my beloved Magnavox CRT is toast, but also figured maybe this was a good opportunity to dip my toes into he circuitry waters and maybe learn something new. Also, I don't want to trash it if it's a fairly cheap/easy fix!

My 20-year-old Magnavox has gotten me and my kids through many a gaming console change and worked great up until the other day. Following a long distance move, it sat in our garage for a year and now that I brought it in and turned it on I get no picture; instead, a green light blinks on the front of it; 7 flashes, one long flash, then 3 more...

Magnavox 32MD350B/F7 getting a false on/off control voltage
                    by barrybahr
                    Hello,
The unit is stuck in an intermittent on/off cycle. When I plug in the power cord, the green "On" light activates without any command, flashes for a few seconds, then turns off. The red standby light comes on for a few seconds before the cycle repeats. During this time, I cannot turn off the unit manually; it will shut off automatically after about five minutes, and there is no picture. Occasionally, with repeated attempts to power it on, I eventually get a picture and sound, which function properly. When it does work, I measure several voltages, and they appear to be normal....

LG 42PC3 buffer output doesn't follow YSUS
                    by legg
LG42PC3D -UD originally with green lamp but no display or audio.
Owner says was working, then went 'pop'.
                    All 5V caps bulging. replaced.
All PSU output voltages within spec but -Vy is low on YSUS.
One of three parallel fets between SUS_OUT and SUS_DN is zenering,
eventually shorts DG. Replaced all 3 - -Vy now OK.

Y scan buffer test point does not follow YSUS output below -50V

Note: This unit seems to expect YSUS output to park at -Vy in between
drive signal pattern periods. A replacement drive signal board confirms this....
