    Vizio P50HDM Plasma TV wont stay powered on

    I have a Vizio P50HDM Plasma TV that will not stay powered on. It tries to power on but turns back off in 2 to 3 seconds. You can hear a power relay click on then click off. The power status LED goes from amber to green, then its clicks off and goes to amber green amber green amber green flashing 9 times and then stays amber.
    I've tried to isolate the problem by unplugging the Y-sustain board from the power board – resulted in no change.
    I've tried unplugging just the x-sustain board from the Y-sustain board (since that's how it's hooked up) – resulted in no change.
    I don't see any obvious visual signs of bad caps.
    I did find one bad fuse on the Y-Sustain board, I replaced but it blew again. See pictures for location

    I'm looking for other ideas on what I can test to isolate the problem.
    I'm guessing there's probably a problem with the power board? What do you think?

    I'm handy with using multi-meters and soldering.
    I'd be happy to provide any additional information or pictures if needed.

      If you have a fuse that keeps blowing, focus your search there, the cause of the blown fuse is very likely the same reason why it shuts off.

      Sounds like something is shorted or otherwise bad on that Y-Sustain board.

          Probably shorted Ipm on the Ysus under the heatsink. Check for Vs short to groundn the Ipm.

              Hello,

              Purchased a broken Samsung UN39EH5003FXZA (Version CD01) to have fun fixing. When I first acquired it, I did not connect any video signals and only plugged it into the wall. The unit booted and showed the “no signal” window and I could navigate all menus and change sources. I unplugged it, connected my over-the-air antenna to the coax, powered it on, got the unit to scan the HDTV channels, and I think then the TV self-shutdown with the melody. When I powered back up (melody), it would show the channel selected on the OSD and after a couple of seconds, it self-shutdown...

              I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

              Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

              I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

              The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

              With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

              Hi.

              picked up another TV. This time is a Vizio M65-C1. TV does not turn on. I had repaired another 60 inch vizio , Bad main board.
              When power button is pressed, the Power led indicator on the bottom right, turns for a few seconds and then it fades away. No backlight or Vizio logo on screen. Removed back cover and repeated test.
              This is the TV This TV is a little different from the Samsung I have worked on. Power supply is on the Left side, Main Bd is on the right side, T-CON , not in the picture is on the bottom. I am assuming that the boards in the middle are the LED...
