I have a Vizio VP50 HDTV20A that would occasionaly lose picture, but still have sound. Also, only a few of the buttons on the side of the tv work and the remote only works while on certain inputs. Finally, when I turn off the tv, the power led blinks 10 times before shutting off. I opened up the tv and found multiple blown capacitors on the power board that I replaced (I didn't replace the ones that apeared to be ok so maybe that is the next step). I checked the voltages at all the pins and they all seemed to be within tolerance from what I could find online but this may require a second look also. I also checked the fuses and they all appeared to be ok. After I did all this, I still have the same issues as I did before (not sure about the picture issues as I haven't used it enough) but now I also don't have sound. I tried hooking up headphones to the audio output to see if I could use this as a workaround but had no success. I am pretty new at this and would appreciate any direction going forward. Thanks!

Re: Vizio VP50 HDTV20A
When I plug in the tv I hear 2 clicks and cannot get voltage readings from the pins. When I turn on my tv I get the following readings:
Vs = 192V
Va = 59.7V
5V ctl = 5.04V
5V ab = 4.94V
3.3V = 3.47V
9V = 8.69V
24V = 23.8V
Thanks for the help!Comment

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

picked up another TV. This time is a Vizio M65-C1. TV does not turn on. I had repaired another 60 inch vizio , Bad main board.
When power button is pressed, the Power led indicator on the bottom right, turns for a few seconds and then it fades away. No backlight or Vizio logo on screen. Removed back cover and repeated test.

by howardc64Failure Symptom
No picture, just red vertical stripes. Google search shows quite common problem for these recent Vizio M series although red vertical stripe pattern may differ. Some call it "Netflix" boot screen haha.
Where is the short?
Panel has 4x buffer boards. Quickly found the 1/4 panel buffer board with the problem by selectively disconnecting buffer board flex cables.

by howardc64Bug looks like hardware so thought I posted it here. Exact same behavior on 2 different model 4K Vizio TVs running their SmartCast smarttv software. After launching youtube app, press vizio button on remote to return to the smarttv menu, once in awhile, a column of bad pixels will show for few seconds on the left hand side.
It seems the vizio software is reinitializing hardware when returning to the smarttv menu. In general, SmartCast software isn't very good. Also will randomly (relatively infrequent) get no network connection when on wifi and require reboot.... - Loading...
