Hi All,
My spare TV is a Hitachi 32HXC01U and the backlight recently failed. Everything else seems fine - it happily goes into standby, the audio is still working, and a picture is visible when I manually illuminate the screen, so I assume there is just a problem backlight.
I popped it open yesterday to see what was going on and the board is a Vestal 17IPS19-5 V.1 061112. I assume it was a problem, with the LED driver however I guess it could be a problem with the LEDs themselves. So does anyone have any idea how I can diagnose the actual problem?
Sorry if that is a bit of a stupid question, although I am reasonably confident with electronics generally, I have never tried to repair a TV before, so don't really know where to start...
I have attached pictures of the whole tv chassis and both of the individual boards. Sorry about the poor photography - it was dark when I took the pictures and my phones camera flash isn't great.Happy ot take more in daylight if it will help.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Alex
