Have a LG 60PA6500 that did work at one time with a dim picture that pointed to the z sustain board being bad (see picture of burn marks). I bought one off of eBay, but after putting it in, i stopped getting a picture. Putting the old board back in doesn't change anything. Could the new board have been defective and broke the y sustain? I checked all the fuses on the power supply and they are good, plus I get 5 volts into the y and z board. Any help or what to check next is appreciated.

Wow a burn mark on the ground lug. That's interesting. Does the tv still power up. You should be able to disconnect the z sustain board and take it completely out of the equation and still get a very dim picture if you do not something else is going on and we need to look further into voltage is coming off the power supply to startDid I leave the soldering iron on? -
Re: LG 60PA6500 Plasma No Sound
Need to edit the thread title if I can that it does have sound but no picture. I did get a picture before I put the eBay board in there. Now regardless of the z board, I don't get a picture only sound. Any guidance on which voltages to measure and where is appreciated.Comment

Re: LG 60PA6500 Plasma No Sound
Ok to test voltages what I would do is disconnect your Z sustain board for now we don't know if the new one you got is good or bad. You have a voltmeter? If you do the first thing you need to do is set it to DC mode and put the black lead somewhere on the chassis ground and the red lead and stick it into the connector on the power supply output that says vs. Power up the TV are you getting voltage there?Last edited by freakaftr8; 11-13-2015, 08:40 AM.Did I leave the soldering iron on?Comment

by KYBOSHPicked up a bahemoth plasma TV not too long ago and just now getting around to looking at it.
No picture but you hear the TV static (white noise) playing loud and clear.
The back was already taken off (and no screws were provided) as the previous owner had already taken a look.
But it seems they didn't get too far and just left it.
When I first took a look I was amazed at how pristine the inside looked.
Its as if the TV had been in a time capsule.
Caps looked like they were just pulled off the self.

by TR103Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
- sound and backlight, but no picture
- when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
- it keeps rebooting
- without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
- without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
- when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

by MgiffuneI have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and... -
by IerwinHello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged... -
by jchangHi all
I was just given a Samsung TV with the issue. I read various threads and videos and attempted the ribbon tape method to gain an image, but no luck.
Symptom:
No picture no sound.
When I plug in the power cord, Backlight LED turns on for a half second and then turns off. The red LED next to the power button located center bottom flashes 2 or 3 times. When the power button is pressed after, it does the same thing.
No sound at all.
What I tried:
1. I tried unplugging the left or right ribbon... - Loading...
