Re: Hitachi 42hxt12u
We need MUCH better pictures of the whole back side of the TV so we can see how all the boards are connected and then good clear pictures of the board and where you took the Voltage measurement.Never stop learning

Re: Hitachi 42hxt12u
Its not a real Hitachi but a rebadged Vestel shit. Uses VES420 Led backlit Lcd panel. You probably have a blown Led with in the panel. But you need better images so we can HELP you diagnose the fault. Please Do Not PM My Page Asking For Help Badcaps Is The Place For Advise, Page Linked For Business Reasons Only. Re: Hitachi 42hxt12u
Ive picked up one of these tvs as spares or repair and it turns out that the previous owner had attached the stand with wood screws!!It had taken out 2 traces of one of the ribbon cables that attaches the tcon board to the screen. I have seperated and jumpered the 2 damaged traces and im now getting continuity across them but still no picture. Backlight seems fine with no dark spots. Upon starting the tv up it goes through a cycle of blue and red lights and then stays on blue indicating the power supply is functional i think but im wondering if the wood screw has shorted the tcon board? Any info on this would be greatly appreciated
cheers
