42PQ6000 Clicking fast not powering on

I have a LG 42PQ6000 seems to be stuck in standby
after plugging in to the wall the only thing you can get is a rapid click (twice a second) from the main power board.

If I disconnect the X/Y boards it makes no differance, if I disconnect the main AV board the clicking slows down (once every 2 seconds)

    TV does not power up
X is connected thur the YSUS

    Board numbers are
    Power: EAY60696801
    AV: eax57566204
    Y: eax60764001
    X: eax60764101

If anyone can help it would be great,?!? I have replaced a few compontents, as I thought I did not have 5v standby but this has made not effect on the issue of the clicking relay

Posting pictures of the back of your tv showing the boards with clear pictures may help you more with fixing your problem

Not sure what you mean by VB3200?

Vb3200 is the model of the diode, do you have a DMM and do you know how to check for SC ?

PQ3000 is very close - only a few less features
Terrible picture quality. Worst I've ever seen from a plasma. Dim and washed out. No idea how LG approved shipment (I believe it was the model after the sparklies debacle, so perhaps they gimped the panel drive to make it work without requiring too much re-engineering.)

found a diode marked VSB3200 shorted out. can this normnally be replaced, or is the short often casued by something else?

                  Thanks

Normally just the diode replace it and away you go Common issue on these sets, repaired two previous ones and was just that diode.

cool, parts on order though various websites have different part numbers for them including

                      UF5408 (VSB3200 / RGP30) DO-201AD Diode 1A 1000V from ohmsupplies

You will need a VSB3000 that will work.

Ohms Supplies Ltd are a local UK supplier. LoadedlboyUK didn't come back on the thread so perhaps it worked for him.

                                  He indicated UF5408 (VSB3200 / RGP30) DO-201AD Diode 1A 1000V

But I don't know if it is a replacement for the VSB3000 which I can't find anything on.
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

Nah--Dont think its to do with the Mal-Discharge issue--These also suffer from it quite badly.

LG got at by the damnable Greenies and chasing lower power-consumption I think...

Crap set either way! Never seen a good one, always cruddy pictures and nearly always Mal-Discharge too, although--the green fringing/sandy/gritty picture sort rather than red-spots....

update for you guys, took out that diode and put in the UF5408 (VSB3200 / RGP30) DO-201AD Diode 1A 1000V from Ohm supplies and it was a success so for anyone else having the issue if the diode is goosed then change that and away you go.

                                        thanks guys.

PSU Clicking On then powering off & looping.

I have two higher end PSU's here.

One of them is an EVGA 1300 Supernova G2 when I jump the "power on" it begins to power up, fans spin, voltages go down the lines as I connected a case fan to the 12volt rail and it spins up as well. But then what sounds like a small faint relay clicks and it powers off, then powers back on again and repeats this power on/off loop.

I also have a new Raidmax 1000W Scorpio which does similar (right out of the retail box I might add) it will begin to power on then click & shut off. (This one does not attempt to restart until...

HP Power Supply 6632A: Fast Mode vs Normal Mode?

                                          FAST MODE vs NORMAL MODE

I have recently acquired a HP 6632A DC power supply. I am just beginning to use it and I have been reading the manuals for it. It is the first power supply I have ever owned or used. I am a very beginner hobbyist and do not have an engineering background, as may be obvious by my question...

I can't seem to understand what the actual use is for the 'Fast Mode' or the 'Normal Mode' on the power supply. Although the manual states what the two modes do from a engineering/technical standpoint, I don't know enough to understand what it all means,...

Hello, I bought this Mac from a friend, he said that it simply stop working. The MacBook looks very clean but does not power on, stuck on 5v 0.42A, and sometimes display 5V and 0A (then 0.071A and again 0A).

I opened it looking for some problem, it was not touched before for sure and the board is very clena, no spot of corrosion at all from what I can see. Voltage on multimeter of the board off the case it's the same, 5V 0.42A. But then I noticed this "clicking sound" come from the board ( I attached here the audio file).

Looking on google I found this:...

Denon AVR-X4000 – Fast red blinking after 2nd relay
                                          by SevenOFF
                                          Hi everyone,

I’m working on a Denon AVR-X4000 that goes into protection mode (fast red blinking LED) shortly after the second relay click.

According to the service manual, a fast red blinking LED indicates a DC detection (DC_DET) or ASO (abnormal current) fault, meaning the unit is detecting a potentially dangerous condition on the power amp or power supply side.

Here’s what I’ve done so far:
                                          • Fully opened and cleaned the unit (a lot of dust inside)
                                          • Removed and visually inspected the AMP board → nothing visibly damaged or burned
                                          • Testing is done with
                                          ...
