    Samsung UN46EH5300 No Backlight, Help!

I got this TV for free and was hoping to get it working. The backlight is out but I am able to see snow and the menu with a bright light shining on the screen. I bought a new PSU/LED driver board from Shop Jimmy hoping this would fix the problem but I just installed it and unfortunately I have the same issue.

    Any ideas?

How about uploading good clear pictures of the whole backside of the TV so we can see all the boards?
I will not be surprised if it has failed backlights LEDs.

Since the LED driver board is good, it is most likely faulty LED bulbs. They are fixable, but a pain to get to. You can either replace the LED strips, or just the individual LED bulbs. ShopJimmy has a LED Bulb tester for about $54- but you can search for the same model and find it for at least $20 cheaper elsewhere. It is a nice little tool that automatically adjusts the voltage to test bulbs individually, by strip, or all the strips at once. There are many YouTube videos about how to fix- the most comprehensive one I have seen was from TampaTec on YouTube, where he goes thru the whole breakdown of the TV he is using for the video.

I have one 32" TV apart, but could get the LED bulb to desolder! So I am awaiting a strip from ShopJimmy. Then I will see if I can re-assemble the TV without damaging it;-) Oddly, I have a second model, the same as yours, with the same issue- the LEDs are out, and I am getting ready to dive into it as well;-)

Re: Samsung UN46EH5300 No Backlight, Help!

Two weeks ago I found a UN46EH5300 being thrown out by a neighbor. The manufacture date is October 29, 2013. I brought it home and determined through a flashlight in the back plus an over 200V reading on the LED power supply that the LED string is bad. I have searched YouTube for Samsung specific instructions on removing the back panel but have had no luck. Does anyone know of instructions for doing this as they pertain to Samsung? I have the service manual and I see that it does not contain disassembly instructions that detailed.
