BUSH LED40127FHDCNTD - HDMI Inputs Malfunctioning

    Hello,

I have a BUSH (Vestel) LED40127FHDCNTD TV with mainboard 17MB95S-1, about a month ago the TV had issues with a flickering backlight on any brightness setting except the highest, i just kept it at the highest from that point.

For the past couple days however this is completely fine, but HDMI inputs only show black screens (If they sense an input at all). All other services such as netflix and iplayer are fine, and the controller works at all points, however i am yet to try the VGA input or any other (Dont have any at hand right now, will edit later if i find something)

I have tried factory resetting the TV, but have not been able to find any software/firmware online to try reinstalling or downgrading.

I will post pictures of the mainboard and PSU.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Sorry for bump, cant find the edit post button?

I've found a few replacement boards just in case nothing can be done for the TV, however they do not have the same serial on the Bar code (Mine is 23164325) other then one £70 or so one... My question is wether they would theoretically work still? And if the board was for less than 40 inch and less than 1080p, would it still function fully?

      Hi there,
vestel boards are notorious for matching up with the panel,(screen) and even the power supply.for example, there are around seven different versions of any psu, and, comfusingly, they all have the same part number, example 17ips19..Possibly a firmware glitch you have, but as you have found, support is non existent in realiity..also the service menu may as well not exist-nothing can be changed on it..Probably the only road to go down is replacement. The barcode number is ever-important,for pcb replacement.Grab a cheap smashed screen one from ebay would be my choice!...Tom66 may chime in with a different solution however.Good luck!

Yeah im mainly just searching for either broken tv's or maybe someone selling spares for the board but no luck so far... I did manage to find an update file for TV's with mostly the same board and tried to install it, however i think it may have lacked the Power button my TV had and can now not turn it on! The controller also doesnt respond, is it possible for the software to change the Remote code it responds to?

yes you are correct, if you look in the service mode there is more than one type of remote control code used but in the service menu these are read only and cant be user changed, some makers such as sharp and toshiba use there own remote control code, I have worked on a set which came with a toshiba remote and after I played about with the software would now only work with a vestel remote.

Help with Bush Tv (Vestel 17mb95m Mainboard)
            by FlailingEngineer
Hi, I was recently given a Bush Smart TV by a friend and the main board seems to be hanging on by a thread.

Before we get to that, my first obstacle was figuring out the model number since the back sticker has gone for a walk. Upon taking off the back case, I noticed the following Vestel parts, 17MB95m mainboard, 17IPS71 (what I'd assume is power supply) and a VES420UNVL-3D-S02 display panel. After doing some research I think the TV I have is a Bush ELED42240FHDCNTD3D, based on the matching image here (https://www.manualslib.com/manual/11...td3d.html#manu...

            Bush LED40127FHDCNTD No Picture
            by Bloopeta
            Hi, I have a Bush LED40127FHDCNTD

The TV powers on, and backlights illuminate solid, for a few seconds, but no image is diplayed, and after a few seconds the backlights become dimmer, and flicker exceptionally fast, like a strove light effect. No image is ever displayed on the screen.

If I unplug the ribbon cable from mainboard to tcon/driver board, the backlights still act in the same strobe like manor, they do not stabilise

            Any advice greatly appreciated...

Need help identifying an IC chip on a Bush DAB radio (BD-1801)
            by tyler123456
            Hi,

Not sure whether anyone can help but I'm trying to identify the IC chip in the photo below.

I purchased a faulty Bush DAB radio (model # BD-1801) and identified that an IC chip was blown on it. Unfortunately, I couldn't read the manufacturer name / model number of the IC chip.

I purchased another (working) BD-1801 so that I could open it up to find out the IC details - but the IC chip details are missing (as you can see in the photo.)

Given the two huge blobs of solder either side of it I'm guessing it regulates power(?)

            Anyone...

            Bush WI-1810 Internet Radio
            by Johnny.p
I recently bought an internet radio Bush WI-1810, it came with a power supply that when plugged in promptly damaged the radio. I discovered too late that the radio was 6v and the supplied adaptor was 12v. The radio still powers on but the wifi is not working. I have attached a few pictures- Image 2 showing the board with damaged component top right labelled U8. There are several other similar components like U9 (image 3) that I'm wondering could be a replacement.
U9 has a code on it S5EJI- I have searched several smd code sites and the nearest I can find is for a mark of S5E -listing shows...
