I have a Mag Innovision 22" LCD monitor. It's a pretty old monitor and I already have some caps replaced about 3 years ago. The screen was turning itself off after a few seconds, so I took it apart and replaced the bulging caps. Now it will stay on, however, the image on the screen is shivering. Does this mean my monitor is dying? Or is there anything simple that I might have overlooked? Thanks.

Re: Image shivering after cap replacement
It's hard to show in the photos, because the words kinda shivers/shifts. But I found a work around for it, turns out this only happens when I use the VGA input (maybe there are some other bad caps or when the caps went it damaged something on the VGA side), when I use the DVI input it's fine. So I just switched the cable to DVI. Thanks for the reply.Comment

Re: Image shivering after cap replacement
Caps can fail without bulging or leaking. Probably should replace all the electrolytic caps or at least the ones that test bad or out of tolerance if you can test them.Comment

by momakaNormally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow.
But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though.
I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...

by 3D ModelkaHello. I have a problem with my AOC 27 monitor, specifically model Q27G2WG4, which I have been using for 3 years. The monitor stopped turning on: when I turn it on, the backlight turns on, the indicator starts glowing white, but the logo on the screen does not appear, and there is no image. However, if I check in the Windows system, the monitor is displayed as connected and working. I tried connecting it via HDMI and DP, but the result remains the same. If I turn the monitor on and off multiple times, it will eventually start and work. However, when the monitor is working, there are no issues....1 Photo

by CoguarIn the device manager there is no built-in display located. The Intel UHD Graphics are displayed and only the external display is visible. The AiO turns on and works but is only showing a black screen on the monitor.
I checked the voltage on the backlight connector and it reads ~20V. I tried reseating the LVDS and Backlight connector, yet the image still does not show.
Does anyone have ideas whether or not this is a BIOS related issue? The only visible log in the BIOS logs is that the firmware was updated around a month ago.
We already tried to fix it by resetting the...06-23-2025, 07:14 AM -
by jvelezHi, seeking for guidance on the following:
I have a Fujitsu Siemens monitor T19-1 (base model is C19-1) that stopped showing any picture, besides the FS logo when it boots.
I'm attaching a picture of the system board with some additional info.
- The monitor recognizes the presence of the VGA signal: the power button switches from amber to blue, and vice-versa when the computer goes sleeping.
- The inverter + CCFL seems to be working fine: the Fujitsu-Siemens logo appears when the monitor is switched on.
- I measured the values in the power regulators:...-

by DoorOfTimeI just picked up this MSI Optix MAG271C curved monitor. It powers on, backlight comes on and it's recognized by Windows--even as far as to be able to use the speaker port for music. It recognizes input changes, and goes into standby as intended when disconnected.
But it has no image whatsoever. On power-up it goes through what should be an "MSI" splash screen, but no image, and when hooked up as a secondary monitor I can drag items across my extended display with no change as it reaches the blank monitor.
Does this sound like behavior that can be...-
