    Samsung LE26R87BD power cycling

    Hi all!
I have a samsung 26" LCD it works fine for a while but when it warms up it turns off and starts to power cycle. All the caps are fine and all the rail voltages are fine. I tried to unplug the inverter board and the set stayed on fine then so i replaced the inverter but this did not fix the problem. I've seen a few post on the net with similar issues but none with any resolution yet. does anyone have any suggestions as to where to go with it next?

If i remember correctly when it cycles the standby voltage still remains but all the others drop out and return again a few seconds later. When the set turns back on it doesnt display any input signal. does this suggest its a main board problem rather than PSU?

So if the standby Voltage is staying steady but the TV is cycling on and off, then you need to look at the PS-ON signal from the main board to see if it is going HIGH and LOW, <1VDC = OFF, >2VDC = ON, it should stay HIGH after power switch is activated, and goes LOW when power switch is turned OFF.

        Samsung UN55FH6030: random power cycling
        by valvashon
Samsung UN55FH6030, perfect size for my office and does OTA well but isn't a smart TV. That's OK because I am a TV station engineer and only need it for OTA monitoring.

About a month ago it started power cycling itself once or twice a day and now it's nearly continuous once it's been on for a few minutes. Changing channels would really start it cycling and it would take several minutes to stabilize but now it's just doing it almost non-stop without changing channels.

Once I disconnected the antenna I found that I could change channels with no issues. My guess is...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
        by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

        Assuming...

Samsung TV won't turn on ... keeps cycling the power relay on & off
        by Journey11
        Hi All,
First time posting here ... my name is Kevin but my friends call me Journey.
I have a Samsung 75" LCD model UN75RU8000FXZA that I don't remember the original fault other than it wouldn't power up anymore.
After it sat for many month's I decide to look at it again. The motherboard seemed to have power regulation issues. After much fussing I decided to just get a new MB.
It came a few days ago and I installed it now just cycles the power relay on and off ... when on the backlights light up and then dim and then relay kicks off and the whole things starts again....

Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 - no power
        by PantherDave
        Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

Hello everybody, I could use some help on this one... It's got me guessing...
I took pictures of all the boards and the pin out of the connector on the power supply that goes to the main board... I measured all the pins in relation to chassis ground, here are the result.

        (B13v)1. 12.7 volts cycling (Vamp) 2. 12.7 volts cycling
        (B13v)3. 12.7 volts cycling (PWM5) 4. 1.0 volts cycling
        (OD_LE)5. 2.8 volts cycling (PWM4) 6. 0.9 volts cycling
        (OD_ON)7. 2.8 volts cycling (PWM3) 8. 0.9 volts cycling
        9. ground (PWM2) 10. 0.9 volts cycling...
