    Samsung LCD vertical lines.

    Hello, I'm suspecting a tab bond issue. The lines are solid and don't move. I have measured the width and its an 8th of the screen.
    Am I right ?
    I did wiggle the two cables that go to the tcon and I thought I could see a picture through the lines but perhaps it was a coincidence. It doesn't seem to make any difference today.
    I've tried twisting the frame but there doesn't seem to be any flex.

      Probably failed Tab-Bond driver more than likely unfixable. Try taking the screen apart and pressing on the Tabs to see if it makes a difference also check the temp of the Driver on that Tab if its very very hot means its failed basically.

          Cheers ReeceyBurger, i shall strip the tv down and have a look.
          I have measured the temp with my hand and an infared thermometer and the part of the frame above the vertical lines is slightly cooler than the rest of the top of the tv.

                  Sometimes you may get lucky and it's a bad solder connection on one of the smd capacitors on the lcd driver board attached to the panel. I've fixed this issue twice. Once on an AUO 42 inch panel and once on a 52 inch samsung panel. Had the same look as yours.
                  Did I leave the soldering iron on?

                      I seems it was a tab issue, pressing down made the patttern disappear. I tried using some thermal heatsink material but I just couldn't get it right. I managed to pull off part of a tab at the other end in the moving process.
                      I shall just part the TV out as I know the boards are fine. Nothing lost as this TV was given to me.
                      Thanks for your input guys, I've learnt something new and stripping it down was easier than I thought.

                              I'd never done one before and it was all going well until I tipped the screen forward to put it in the frame. I was holding the plastic not the screen thinking the screen was secured to the plastic and when I tilted it forward it swung loose and that's when it pulled part of the tab off I think on the other end of the screen.
                              I've put it to one side for now, its been a good learning experience.

                                  Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

                                  I posted about this previously but didn't get any response, and I have some troubleshooted a bit so I have more info.

                                  The screen is full of horizontal "gaps" or lines that distort the picture badly, and after about 10 seconds of powering it on the screen starts to fill with red vertical bars that take on the horizontal pattern. After the screen filled with the red bars, they instantly vanished and then slowly started to reappear. I initially thought it was tab bonding failure, but after getting down to them and pressing each one I find zero change in the picture. I went...

                                  I've bought a used Samsung UN65NU6900FXZC LED TV. It worked fine for some time and then developed, at first, a single very thin (1 pixel) vertical stable blue line, from top to bottom, close to the left edge of the screen. Now it's 3 lines on the left. When I connect HDMI sources the number of the thin lines grow. After disconnecting and cold discharging I am back to 2 lines. The lines disappear at a rate of 15-20 minutes per line. So it does not look like a damaged LED panel. Any advice? Thanks...

                                  Samsung 55" UN55JS9000 - Pink vertical lines due to chipped LCD panel?

                                  Hello all, I was recently repairing my Samsung 55" UN55JS9000 tv from the common burnt backlight LED's and cracked light guide panel issue. After replacing the LED's and putting the TV back together, I tested the tv and all I was getting was sound but no image. Somewhere along the way (could be related to the next issue) the T-Con board became damaged and after replacing it I have made a little bit of progress but now have bright pink vertical lines and still no image.

                                  The bigger issue .... I took the TV apart again and realized that I likely didn't sit the LCD panel correctly...
