    Sony KDL-32M3000 No power/standby

This one doesn't power on, and it does have 120AC at the power supply plug. On DC side, there is no standby voltage. I believe the fuse near the power plug is blown (no continuity across two silver caps of fuse).

Would this likely be a power supply problem?

Take the blown fuse out. Check shorts across the main cap and the bridge rectifier, the FET on the primary side of the power trans, open resistors on the primary side may be a possibility also.

If you don't have 3.3V STBY voltage from the PSU, then yes, that is a PSU problem. Look at page 57 in the SM. Google "KDL-32M3000 service manual and it comes right up. I can't upload it here as it is too big of a file. I looked the PSU schematic over ant there are a few reasons why there is no STBY voltage.

Sony Bravia XBR-65x900f: No Power, No Standby-light - however 3.3v STBY is present
        by SkishyIshy
        Hey All,

        I have a Sony 65x900f that I purchased cheap because of a no-power issue.
I assumed that because there is no standby light visible, it would be an easy fix - however upon opening up of the unit I can confirm that the 3v3 standby voltage is making it's way from the power supply to the main board. I'm a little confused as to why there is no standby light.

I am firstly wondering if anyone has this model of TV, or has worked on one and can give me some insight. I have tried to find a service manual for this model, to no avail - and would really appreciate...

Sony 55X900E no standby light, no power. Replaced mainboard already

        No standby red light, nothing
This Sony has a separate AC->DC power adapter supplying 19.5V to the TV power board (JK3)

Disconnected JK3 power board from main board, checked voltages on all the pin outs

At a few pins I can see the power supply providing 19.5V to the main board

Based on the service manual triage.. it seems to be pointing towards the power board (JK3) being the most possible culprit

LED light turns on when I disconnect LED driver board ribbon from mainboard (so i thought it is the mainboard,...

        Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74 power issue
        by GLISIT
        Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

A few weeks ago I was using the laptop (on battery power) for a Zoom meeting. The battery was running very low (long meeting) but I wasn't worried about...

Sony Bravia KDL-40V2500 that will not power on
        by PopsCaps
I have a Sony Bravia KDL-40V2500 that will not power on. The indicator flashes red 3 times.
I do not hear any sound and I cannot see any backlight.
I have tried disconnecting every cable on each board one at a time to see if anything changes.
The only change is when I disconnect AC-DET cable on the Power Supply board or on the other end if I unplug the CN7009 connection on the B-Board and try to power on the TV the indicator will stay on solid green until I power off.
My friend ordered another used power supply board but it is also doing the red indicator flash 3 times...

Sony KDL40EX501, won't power on, no standby light
        by macinjosh
        Hello all,

My Sony Bravia recently (after a storm) shows no red standby light at all. Taking it apart, I noticed that one of the ICs on the main board seemed to have a hole in it, so I replaced the main board.

However, I still have the same problem.

I've looked at the SONY technical flowchart for these models, but am stuck at what to do at this point. Here's what I've done:

        1. I've verified that the power supply board is getting 120v AC.

        2. Verified standby voltage, about 3V DC on pin 1 of the power supply.

        3. Verified...
