    vizio vw37l 10a dead

hey guys, working on my vizio 37. Im new to this forum and pretty new to fixing TV's so forgive my lack of knowledge in some places. but been deep in electronics for a while. after hours and hours of testing and reading about vizio black screen im stuck and need a hand.
    : power supply 0500-0507-0250

    here is what I know

    vw37lhdtv10a

Vizio logo on bottom lights up orange and stays orange, power button does nothing, I do not see backlight coming on, I do not see pixels on screen with flashlight.
all fuses test good. 1 on power supply- 2 on main board- 5 on (tcon?)

    5v at f2 on main
    0v at f1 on main
pson has.1v on standby 0v when i push power button.

    at j1 i have 5.16v on 9,10,11
    .01v on pin 1
    .01v on pin 13

no burnt spots anywhere on board
i see no popped caps whatsoever
2 caps are questionable on power board c240a and c240b near j22

plugs to button board seem fine all connections are good.

u7 i believe is giving a funny reading thats
    leg1 .1v
    leg2 .68v
    leg3 3.24v
    amc1117 fo713j

all other regulators check out good from what i know

    no sound coming from coils

the service manual mentions (step 2) troubleshooting
    is it in powersaving mode
    check video cable?
    is timing supported?
    check sync input?
dont know how to check this

can someone help me wake this thing up ? ill get a pic up as soon as i can
    thanks

how do you have 0v on f1 main and 5v on f2?

Where is the location of f2 on this board?

U7 might be a clue. Something going in, nothing coming out, either U7 is bad or something drags that circuit down. I can't see anything much on your pix, too blurry.

              Vizio E65-F0 really dead
              by Iain P
              Hi everybody!

I've got a Vizio E65-F0 smart tv that is good and dead. It shows no signs of life when I press the power button on the back. The power LED in the lower right corner doesn't light, there is no backlight and no picture.

So I took the back off and started poking around figuring one or more of the caps had dried out. My esr meter says all the caps on the power supply board and the mainboard are less than 1 ohm.

I decided to check the voltages coming off the power supply they are as follows:

              connector CN201
              pin 1 (18vsb1)...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
              by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

              Assuming...

              Dead Vizio D40u-D1
              by catnapped
Recently had my bedroom Vizio D40u-D1 apparently die while it wasn't being used. Noticed the power LED flashing, figuring maybe a software upgrade, but attempting to turn it on proved that wasn't the case. When powered on, the power LED will flash a bunch of times after about 2 minutes then turn off again. Definitely is no picture even with a flashlight on the screen. Had the opportunity to open it up over the weekend. Doesn't apper to be anything out of the ordinary visibly inside, nor any odd smells of escaped magic smoke. Readings from the connector in the corner of the power supply board...

Vizio D50u-D1 Dead: PSU or Main Board?
              by fharris1977
Hi. Anyone who has experience with these vizio sets, which pin on this connector is the standby, the 5V pin? Trying to rule out the PSU before ordering a mainboard. I'm getting 0 Volts on all pins on this connector. Trying to jump the standby and PS ON pins to see if the PSU is functioning. Thanks in advance.

Vizio D50u-D1 Dead Set No Standby
              by fharris1977
Hi. I got a Vizio with no power or standby, and won't turn on with remote or button. I checked the voltages on the connector and all read 0.00V or nearly 0(0.050 ON/OFF pin). None of the pins are labeled STB for standby although I do see some 5V pins. Other than the obvious standby led, which isn't coming on, is there a way to check for standby voltage on this PS. I'm trying to see if my problem is the PS or mainboard. Some Vizios I have fixed with no standby led me to think it was the PS but it turned out being the mainboard. Any experience with this set would be greatly appreciated.
