Hey Folks,
Have Two Problems.
Vizio E470VL that is showing following problem.
Plug in A/C and will see "Vizio" Amber Logo. Turn on power with either onboard switch or remote and Vizio Logo turns white, but no back light & no video signal on LCD. (Flashlight trick)
Testing power supply rail, I have all 5v, all 12v, PSON 3.2v, Status 3.4v, Dim spikes at start up to 3.2v and slides down to 1.2v, and B/L-on 0v. and after 45-50 seconds TV returns to Stby.
Removed "U33" out of circuit and tested...OK.
So...Seems that I have all but B/L-on signal from main board.
What should I look for at component level on that B/L circuit?
Main Board PN 3647-0292-0150 (3L)
Power Board PN 0500-0400-1290, which replaced OEM Board PN 0500-0412-1000, as per "ShopJimmy" recommendations.
Second Problem...Does anyone know what this part (Photo "Mystery Part" Board labeled "TC2") used to be? I say used to be because when I removed it off the board and was trying to check it with a DMM, it sprang to life out of the jaws of my alligator clip holding fixture and entered the fifth dimension. Reason I pulled it was I was getting 12v on one end, and Zero on the other. It had no writing on it, and looked like a very small fuse.
Thanks Much!
