Hi, The HDMI is not working on my SonyKDL46XBR4, tried swapping cords and other hdmi devices. The TV is working fine. I called a tv parts place and they said it sounded like the main board was bad. I got a "good used board" from them and installed it today. TV works, still no hdmi. There is a orange light located left center on the board that is blinking steadily. I don't have the metal cover on the board, could this be the problem? Sorry to sound so dense, I built a 427 Cobra, but this is all new to me.

Re: SonyKDL46XBR4 hdmi not working
I unplugged the cable, no change. On this replacement board and my original board the is an orange light blinking left center on the board. I was told by an "expert tech" on Just Answer that this meant a bad board. So I sent that board back and got another from Tri-State Module. I installed it yesterday, same problem, no HDMI. Cable picture is fine. I tried 3 different HDMI cables and swapped them on the ROKU and BluRay that worked prior to this. I haven't installed the rear cover, don't see how that could effect anything. Could a source other than the main board make the light blink? I tried downloading from a memory stick some Sony updates, that's in the board below the main board, nothing.Comment

3 different cables 2 sources. Does the blinking orange light left center on the main board mean anything to you?Comment

Re: SonyKDL46XBR4 hdmi not working
First go to the menu and do a "factory default"
After you replaced the main board, did you go into the service menu and set it up cording to the SM? Did you load latest firmware on it?
What that orange blinking LED belongs, its called a "Heartbeat". I'd be concerned if that blinking LED would be off. It tells you if the processor is working or not.
See what this brings.Comment

Re: SonyKDL46XBR4 hdmi not working
If you have a laptop, try plug that into the HDMI port and see what then happens. I wonder if the laptop recognizes the HDMI or if it is totally dead.
If it still doesn't work, after all this, then as a last ditch event if you really have to, change the main board and that daughter board too. After that I am out of ideas.Comment

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by aliougmI have problem with my AVR(Marantz SR4003) HDMI board issue. I connect to my TV but screen color distorted, see attached picture.
Connection as below:
Set-top box HDMI output >AVR 3 HDMI input/one HDMI output>HDTV HDMI port

I take out HDMI board from AVR and check services manual the schematic shown the HDMI signals path:

I have an GTX750-FML-1GD5 with a non-working HDMI port and I'd like to figure out what's the cause and if it's easily repairable.
GPU is working fine. VGA and DVI-D ports are also working just fine. But whatever monitor or TV I plug into the HDMI port, it isn't even recognized, let alone giving a display.
I took a glance at the HDMI port and couldn't see any obviously broken parts.
I've also read on various forums that some firmware versions have non-working hdmi, so I flashed dozen or so different VBIOS ROMs that I acquired from techpowerup... -
by ermalsHi all!
I've recently run into an issue with my Samsung UN55H8000AF LED TV displaying no image. I've done quite a bit of research in terms of what could be wrong with it. Below are the steps I've taken prior to reaching out here for some assistance:
1. I've tried replacing the T-Con board (BN95-01594A), twice and have still experienced the same issue with all the boards I've tested with.
2. I've tried to remove one side of the ribbon cable that goes from the T-Con board to the panel and still not getting any image on left or right side.
3. I've checked voltages... -

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....-
