LG 50PS3000 repaired but still with problems.

Have repaired a number of these in the past nearly all have been the usual problem of red haze and corrected by the fitting of the repair kit available.
Got one at the moment though where I've fitted the kit but still have picture problems (solarized picture). Have checked all the voltages and there all as they should be. Also tried Y-SUS set up and set down adjustments but still have the solarized image. Have also discovered that when the power connector from the PSU is removed from the X-SUS the picture remains exactly the same as when its connected. Any ideas as to possible cause? Also be grateful if anyone could confirm that zener diode referenced ZD201 is an IN5245.

Have you checked the Z bias voltage on the Zsus I will link a thread were the transistor that drives the Z bias tested good but was bad in circuit ?

Thanks for your reply. Yes the z bias reads 97v as listed on the label. With or without connector from PSU (p101) connected!

Just changed Q15 (51n25) in case it was reading ok but still leaky with slightly improved 77n33. The result afraid is still the same. Beginning to think it has to be a control board issue. Is there a chance that when the x-sus went faulty it damaged the control board? This seems different to normal maldischarge its more like tcon failure on an LCD tv and no amount of adjustment of pots will remove the solarized image.

Hmm I repaired one a few days ago with a different fault however I did read up online that all the 100uf 25v caps on the control board can go faulty and cause issues similar to what you have described.

If you have a scope, check both the Y and Z outputs look good.

Already changed the control board caps a few days ago thinking that might correct the problem. Afraid it didnt. I saw your video a few days ago regarding bad solder joints on AV board. Very helpful if you've got intermittent faults.

No afraid I haven't. Am looking into getting one though! Changed the y-sus board with a known good one just to test but didn't make a difference. Regarding the x-sus every component that can be checked has been checked all are good. So although unable to scope am pretty certain that output from both boards is good.

                  USB problems?
                  by Hondaman
Recently I discovered my SSD died (OCZ/Toshiba 240 GB). It was in a USB enclosure, attached to the Linksys WRT-AC1200 router. Since then I removed the USB enclosure and attached it to my Win7 PC (AMD 8150 CPU, 970 chipset, 64 GB RAM). I also gathered one or two other USB enclosures to figure out what is going on.

(I suspect that I lost quite a few MP3 and FLAC files I recently ripped from my audio CDs, I think I lost very little un-replaceable stuff.)

I think it is IMPOSSIBLE for Win7 to have any problems with a USB enclosure as long as Win7 knows how to speak to the...

Lenovo 11e problems (any sata hdds are not recognized, sleep battery drain)

Need help to solve some problems with this laptop.

After working in bed with it one night and heating up too much (probably the cause of this problems) the sata HDD OS windows froze
After restart the original Sata HDD was not recognized anymore (but works fine in other laptops or PCs)

Tried connecting other good Sata 2.5 HDDs but not one is working in this laptop anymore (not the original nor others)

Before this had happened I observed some other problems:
When I tried replacing original mecanical HDD with a SSD HDD could not get them...

Mats / mods: detected and repaired GPU fault. Cant seem to test after!
                  by chronic519
                  Hello.

GPU came in, green lines. Spent lots of time using to get the Mats / mods drive working (found on youtube).
Found issue with a RAM block
                  Replaced, green lines gone.
Trying to test again, assuming getting the false positive. Originally had over 1K on a single bank. Now getting tosses low between banks.
Used a good card to test and same results low errors 32+.

I am just search for some form of command to do a full test on the GPU.
I just ran the mats command with my good GPU and passed after roughly 40 min.
                  The repaired one, ran...

Lenovo X13-Yoga Gen 1: hibernation problems
                  by rumpumpel1
I have a Lenovo X13-Yoga Gen 1 that has problems with hibernation mode. When the laptop goes to hibernation mode - either via the start menu or after a time-out - after a short period of activity where the power-on LED flashes, the power consumption should go down to almost 0 and the LED should go out. Most of the time, however, the power consumption indicates further CPU activity and the power LED remains on, but there is no image. Sometimes the CPU activity stops after a few minutes, sometimes not at all. If the laptop enters this state, it can only be brought back to life by a long press on...
