Panasonic TC-60PS34 red light flashes 7 times

    Hello all,

Trouble shooting a Panasonic TC-60PS34 with red light flashing 7 times. First I disconnected the SC20 ribbon cable (information I collected while searching for solutions) and connected the power and got 8 red flashes. From all the research 8 flashes means it needs another SC board, which is on the left side. I did not find trouble shooting solutions for this specific model so I was going by "one size fits all" sort of trouble shooting. I appreciate any input and thanks.

more than likely yes, but I would isolate the sd/su boards from the sc, removed the Vfg bolts that ground the sd/su to the sc(all of them) then locate the small 2 pin connector SC50 on the SC board, jumper those pins together, have the rest of the Tv connected as normal, then power on and see if still 7 blink.

if so then Sc is faulty, you then need to check both sd/su for shorts because 7 blink can be Sd/su, Sc or all three could have failed together. Installing a new sc without doing this may result in blowing the SC up again if those buffers are bad

Ok thanks for your help. I did how you explained, shorted the two pins and removed all screws grounding the three boards and have 7 blinks. So I guess it is time to get three boards.

get three or work out how to test the buffers. Can you put up some pics or tell me what version boards are installed in this?
there will be the main PCB number and then a 2 letter suffix

interested in the SC,Sd,Su and A boards.

I just jumped onto encompass and this is what they list. If this is correct then if this was my TV and I intended keeping it for as long as possible I would
            • purchase 2 sc boards at Shopjimmy, at $38 it's a steal and a prudent move because in time we see this eventually the boards run out and it's cheaper than any kit repair or getting it repaired, keep the old core board though, you never know in time it can be valuable
            • purchase 2 sets of SD/SU, again so cheap $24ea, test yours you may only need one but spares can be handy
            • if the a board is available and cheap enough get one
            • SS board too if cheap

and you will have some backup next time , I have heaps of spares for my 2010 FHD and they're all unavailable or expensive now, I got in while they were still cheap used

so looks like AB is no heatsinks and no revision has them . So that encompass data looks to be out but either would work of course going for the heatsinked version would be preferable. I think I'd clarify with SJ or whoever you choose and specify you want the no revison with heatsinks . there's a few listings on Ebay too some quite cheap

Yeah, I got what I wanted from the 1 pic. Anyway, that's pretty lucky less than $40 for a SC board, the buffers you'll just have to fight your own battle with whoever to try and ensure you get what you want but still worth getting extras and / or testing yours. 50/50 chance they're ok but don't chance fitting a new Sc without being sure they're not shorted

Quick test would be to check between the Vfg gnd plate on the buffer and slide the other probe along the face of each ribbon connector and watch for low ohms or shorts or use continuity/diode mode and if you get constant beep then is bad.

SJ has the same buffer boards with heat sinks they look the same to me after comparing them. And what you mean by ribbon connectors are all the brown ones on the left side and/or the three white ones that connect the buffer board to the sc board? I slid the probe along all ribbons on the opposite side of where the ribbons connect after flipping up the brown locking bar a few times and got no beeps. I did the white ones in the opposite side as well just for grins.

                            Hi,
I'm facing this issue since this morning. When I try to power it on, the CAPS lock light flashes 7 times (or 6 if not counting the first one when the power button is pressed). The charging light is always on as if the laptop was connected to the charger. The issues started gradually where it would flash the light but after trying multiple time it would power on. I tried to open it and I noticed one coil "1R0 2127" gets hot when the charger is connected. Note: the charging light directly comes on when the battery is connected or the charger is connected.

I have an Hp x360 15-u499nr laptop with a continuous white blinking power light. The laptop does turn on. The light flashes with just the battery and if I disconnect the battery and just use the power cord it still flashes and with both connected it still does. I have updated the bios and tried a hard reset with battery unplugged and power cord unplugged and holding down the power button for 60 seconds. I can't think of what else to try.

                            Hi there,

I've got a 39" LG 39LN540V that's just spontaneously stopped working! The symptoms are - when I plug it in, the red light will flash on twice, then go out, there's no visible picture, and I couldn't see anything using a torch on the panel either. If I press the power button (either remote or on TV), the red light comes on continuously. If I press power again, the red light flashes twice.

The TV is using a power board EAX64905301. I've attached a diagram of the power output, I've tested the voltages with a multimeter and I'm getting the following:
                            ...

Hello, I'm new to the group and to trying to repair a LCD TV. During the past few years, I've been collecting/repairing/restoring vintage personal computers (Commodore, Apple II, Atari, TRS-80, Texas Instruments, and Timex Sinclair). This has been my retirement hobby. Now I've gotten interested in trying to repair a LCD TV that I have and used regularly when working on vintage computers.

The LCD I'm working on is a Insignia NS-LCD019. I've downloaded the service manual that I could find, but it must be a different revision since not too many items in the service manual match the TV...

Panasonic Plasma TH-50PZ85U No screen No blinks on red power light
                            by Alicat
                            Hello,

Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.

                            Model number is TH-50PZ85U

Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.

Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still@ blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.

I also hear a few clicks.

I also think my parents said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.

Section 6 in the service manual talks about power and no screen,...
