    Dark cloudlike smudge in middle of screen

    I am hoping somebody can help to explain a couple issues I have with a Toshiba Regza 37WLT66 TV. It has what looks like a dark cloudlike smudge in the middle of the screen, which I have tried to show in the attached photos. I can't seem to see it when I have the menu screen up though. There is also something that looks like a frame to the right hand side and bottom corner - shown in one of the pictures attached. Other than that the picture and sound our excellent. The marks appear on all sources.

    I would say bad lcd on this one I have the same tv where the screen glitches out like crazy due to failed tab bond.

      Would the smudge in the centre of the screen be due to tab bond?

        Diffuser shifted ? Lay the tv on its back overnight and see if the shape of the smudge changes/disappears.
