    2014 Sanyo 50" LED DP50E84 main board

The TV started occasionally crackling and popping through the speakers. This went on for a couple of weeks then started to get worse. Finally the set started shutting off and restarting on its own. I opened it up and looked around but did not see anything obvious. While the set was open it started its sound issues and I pressed on the IC pictured and the cracking and popping instantly went away. The set worked great for a few days the started the same problem again. Pressing the same IC had no effect this time. This is my first time working with SMD IC's and I failed miserably. I ended up damaging several mounting pads to the point that the board is no longer usable. I purchased a used main board with the same part number, installed this, hit the power button. The green led on the front of the set came on for about 10 seconds then turned off. The screen flashed momentarily. This happens every time you attempt to power on the unit. I cannot find much info about problems with this set. I am assuming because it is not very old. Has anyone experienced similar problems with this model?

    Thanks

Oh yes, it is a Sanyo. I have a Samsung with a main board issue also. Must have been thinking about that one while I was posting.

            Renamed thread title.

Did you check the panel number matches your old set? For example, your new board may be for LG panel but your set has Chimei panel. Some TV main boards read the T-con EEPROM and will abort if there is a mis match.

It is also possible the board is defective.

We're working on a DP50E84 also. The symptoms include the flash at start, and then nothing no backlight. If you turn it off and back on, it works great. We've ran it for hours with no other issues. Initially we had a wonky picture due to cables connections from the 120 Hz board to the T-Con. We took the tape off that seemed to be stressing the ribbon cables to the 120 Hz board. That fixed the picture, but it stills doesn't come on until you turn it off and back on.

Is it possible to upgrade from a Vestel 17MB97 main board to a 17MB110 Main board?

I suppose the real question is whether the existing pinouts from ether a 17IPS71 psu are cross compatible with a 17IPS12 psu? If they are then the exchange of the main boards should have no issues providing the screen is compatible with both main boards. Obviously you can change the screen configurations easily enough (providing you have the correct files) for the main board. Why may you ask would I do this? Well a lot of the smart features are no longer working on a Hitachi 48HBT62U main board I wish to give it a new lease of life!
Obviously the same LVDS connector for the screen connection...

LG 55NANO77SRA TV – Menu scrolling by itself even after removing button board (Main Board EBU66792103)
                by ygorsan
                Hi everyone,

I’m looking for help with a persistent issue on an LG TV model 55NANO77SRA, which uses the main board EBU66792103 (also used in LG UQ80 and NANO75/NANO80 series).

                🧩 Problem Summary:
                • The TV keeps scrolling through the menu or selecting items by itself.
                • I removed the physical button board (the entire panel with power and volume buttons) and also disconnected the flat cable (CN202) from the main board.
                • The remote control is not in use (batteries removed), and the TV still shows the same behavior.

ThinkPad T470p – CMOS Checksum Error Persists After Main Battery Removal (even with new CMOS)
                by Genghis_Khan
                Hello everyone,

I’m currently troubleshooting an issue on my Lenovo ThinkPad T470p (Type 20J6) and would really appreciate any insights or solutions.

                Issue summary:

Whenever I remove the main laptop battery and AC adaptor, then place them back, the system gives a “CMOS checksum error” at next boot, and the BIOS clock resets to its default time/date.

However, the RTC works fine as long as the main battery remains attached — even if the laptop is unplugged for hours. Same as I remove the battery while the AC is attached, RTC remains. Obviously,...

The set is not turning on, when buttons on the front are pressed the button press sound is coming from the speakers, but the set is not trying to turn on, consuming only couple of watts.

I am troubleshooting a Vestel 17PW26-5 from the set. Not sure how it is supposed to turn on main supply, but with the main board disconnected not getting the main supply to turn on either.

Standby supply is working, PFC is working (390V), but the main supply is dead. Checked the mosfets and driving transistors and found they are not shorted and showing a diode junction. The suspicious...
