I have a Sanyo DP42849-01 that had the problem where the green power led would come on for 10-20 seconds, then recycle. The set would never power up. I replaced IC5750 on the main board, I had the hynix chip, not the quimondo, and now the set will seem to power on but it sounds like machine gun fire through the speakers and no picture. I seems as if the main board may be cycling on and off rapidly. All voltages look good on the power supply side.
Any ideas?
Thank you

Re: 2014 Samsung 50" LED DP50E84 main board
Oh yes, it is a Sanyo. I have a Samsung with a main board issue also. Must have been thinking about that one while I was posting.

2014 Sanyo 50" LED DP50E84 main board
The TV started occasionally crackling and popping through the speakers. This went on for a couple of weeks then started to get worse. Finally the set started shutting off and restarting on its own. I opened it up and looked around but did not see anything obvious. While the set was open it started its sound issues and I pressed on the IC pictured and the cracking and popping instantly went away. The set worked great for a few days the started the same problem again. Pressing the same IC had no effect this time. This is my first time working with SMD IC's and I failed miserably. I ended up damaging...

Sanyo DP42849-01 & IC5750A
I am working on the Sanyo DP42849-01 with the IC5750A problem as far as I can tell. My question is can you purchase the chip unprogrammed and program it with SW84? If so where would you obtain this software and what would you use to program it? The manual states "The IC 5750A you receive will have software 84 installed in it. If P42840-03 SW84 SW82 IC 5700's manufacture is Quimonda or TV is a 52" then the P42840-04 SW84 SW82 software will need to be changed with the use of a USB drive."
The unprogrammed IC is about $20.00 less than the programed IC and I am broke, cheap and...

Re: Sanyo DP42849 - No Power At All
Correction. I am getting 128V AC line in, 169V DC on the cap with the power off and 320V DC on the cap with the power on. Too high? What would cause high voltage on this cap?
