Why the bottom part still works well, all across the screen. That is weird, no?
If that part of the screen would be bad, then it would be bad all the way to the bottom, no?
The icons, shouldn't have color in them?
How about a picture from the front?

Try going in to the service menu(plenty here on how to do that) and cycle through the screen types and sizes, might help.Comment

you sure the tcon you fitted was ok, does look like voltage buffer (as15 or eqiv) failing. did you check fuse on orig tcon ?Comment

Press in the following order on the remote 'info' 'menu' 'mute' 'power' the tv will turn on and the service menu will be displayed. Hi everyone,
Im looking for some advice regarding my Samsung UE55MU8000 TV with main board model BN94-11606C. The TV suddenly stopped turning on and now shows no signs of life at all not even the standby light at the bottom.
Initially, I suspected an issue with the PSU, so I took it to a repair center. They tested it and confirmed that the PSU works perfectly, even on other TVs. Based on that, I started investigating the main board.
I disconnected the main board from the PSU, and the backlight turned on, which seems to confirm the main board is the issue.... -
I came across a 50inch TU8000 that wouldnt start up properly (blinking stand-by light, backlights would cycle on and off).
When i opened it up and removed the power to the mainboard the backlights powered up and everything looked uniform.
When reconnected the mainboard but disconnected the flex cable to the panel i heard the TV startup with the intro sound.
Later I checked for shorts on the panel PCB boards but could not find anything.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board.
