Re: Panasonic TX-L42U3B dead screen and blinking standby lights
the woman who is after getting rid of it says they had a new tcon board fitted and it still doesn't work. She also said they still have the original board that they replaced. So for £30 i'm just wondering if it's worth a punt as the parts for it seem quite cheap enough on flat tv parts websiteComment

Re: Panasonic TX-L42U3B dead screen and blinking standby lights
i'm presuming that it's the 7 light flashes although she says it's 14 she didn't say there was a pause in between. I've also read elsewhere to try and hold the power button in for up to 30 seconds as a fix too !Comment

Re: Panasonic TX-L42U3B dead screen and blinking standby lights
it won't let me post attachments at the moment. The guy i spoke to said he'd had it in at a tv repair shop nearby and he'd had a look at it (Alledgedly) he had it for 6 weks and he reckoned it was the tcon board. The guy went out and bought a tcon board from ebay and the repair guy reckoned he couldn't fit it and give him a warranty on on the repair if the part was second hand. Sounds to me he was just fobbing him off any how o've just tried the said part and there's no difference at all with either board. My guess is either the power supply or the inverter or maybe the mainboard. I can't see any burst caps on the power supply and none of them seem to be bulging or leaking.Comment

This is the training guide for the US models in the 2011 "30" series, it should be roughly similar:

by AudezeI have a 2019 75" x950g, and while playing a movie, the screen suddenly went dark in a weird way, where it faded towards one corner into being fully black. Now the TV turns on, and the backlight comes on, but there is nothing displayed except black. Sound still comes through the TV speakers, and i have tried doing a hard reset using the volume - and power buttons while plugging the display back in, but it did not fix it. I can confirm that pressing buttons on my remote is still doing "something" because I'm hearing sound still, even though the screen is black.

by mecha1166I am working on a QN750Q8FNBFXZA. Dead except the standby light. It blinks what appears to be 1 3 1 2. 1 long blink, pause, 3 short, pause, 1 long, pause, 2 short, pause, repeat. A service manual would be very helpful, or if anyone knows these error codes. Thanks!

by bialagHello,
I have a Lenovo here that does not want to power on. The motherboard appears to be clean, no sign of corrosion or obvious fried components. When plugged in, I see 3 blinking lights and then off. It would cycle the 3 blinking lights every 10 seconds or so as long as I have the adapter plugged in. Amp meter shows 20 volts, 0.224 amps, no fan spin, red light indicator near the charge port.
Thermal camera shows a section of the motherboard that is warmer than the rest. It is near the connector labels JRTC1 (CMOS battery). Diode measurement to ground for pin 1 = OL,... -

Greetings to all, a while ago my TV was dead, it didn't turn on and the standby light was off, the next day it is working. But these days it no longer wants to turn on, I did some troubleshooting, I disconnected the main board, I checked the voltage on the backlight and there is 400 DC, when I connect it again the main board the voltage drops, in all that troubleshooting, miraculously the standby light comes on and the TV works. After an hour I check and test, I turn on the TV, the Stanby light flashes 3 times and it...05-22-2024, 02:07 PM -
by fharris1977Hi. I got a Vizio with no power or standby, and won't turn on with remote or button. I checked the voltages on the connector and all read 0.00V or nearly 0(0.050 ON/OFF pin). None of the pins are labeled STB for standby although I do see some 5V pins. Other than the obvious standby led, which isn't coming on, is there a way to check for standby voltage on this PS. I'm trying to see if my problem is the PS or mainboard. Some Vizios I have fixed with no standby led me to think it was the PS but it turned out being the mainboard. Any experience with this set would be greatly appreciated.1 Photo
