Did you make sure to reconnect the IR sensor board to the main board after replacing it? its usually a small connector or small ribbon and could easily have been forgotten.

I did, and went back into it and removed and reattached again but nothing.

when you purchased your new main board did all the numbers match up? also have you tried to test your remote control handset? or try a universal remote if you have one handy.
Im wondering if its possible this mainboard is used in another make of tv and the remote code etc is diffrent?

The numbers are the same. Not sure how to test the remote handset.

There are some guides on youtube you can sometimes use a camera phone to test if its transmitting etc.

Just took my Time Warner remote handset and programmed it, and it worked. Must have something wrong with the Vizio factory remote

I tried the phone camera but did not see anything. Must be bad.

yes i just tried mine on my camera phone it shows a redish colour dot on the screen when working ok so yes maybe strip the remote and check for broken solder joints ive repaired a few the led just needed resoldering.

Out of frustration, took the remote apart and found the ribbon cable broken. Can you find ribbon cable for repairs such as this?
