    Panasonic Plasma TH-P42X10Z

Hi there im new to this site and hoping somebody can help me.

I have a Panasonic Plasma TH-P42X10Z tv when i go to turn it on the stanby light blinks 7 times and it wont turn on, I was hoping somebody can tell me witch board is faulty so i can go online and order a new or if there is a way i can repair the faulty board and get my tv up and running again. I have opened up the tv and looked at all the boards and all the capacitors seem fine and everything looks as it should be. Im stumped on what to do next. Any help would be great, Thanks.

sc,sd,su. have a look at the SC board and see if there is a small 2 pin white connector labelled SC50(it's a test jig) if so then this is what you do.

Disconnect the 3 white clips at the Sc board that connect the buffers. there's 2 on the SD and 1 on the Su.

then , there are 4 grounding bolts that bolt the sd/su to the sc, 2 each board

    remove them

then at the Sc50 connector you need to short those 2 pins together.

then turn tv on as normal and see if 7 blinks or no blinks, I think you have a green LED for on when the TV is running.

If it 7 blinks it's the Sc and the buffers need to be checked for shorts.

If it stays on then sc is good and one or both buffers have failed

        not power board

perform tests outlined on page 27 & 29

you will need a meter able to read more than 2 meg ohms

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

          Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Panasonic P50VT20B Plasma 12 Blinks, Power Supply or A-Board?
          by Biruslapio
Hello, I've had this TV for 3 years, 2 years ago it stopped working signaling 12 Blinks, SOUND_SOS according to the service manual.

It has no VSUS or VDAT, and P15V has 1.0V instead, the same 15V goes to A board. F15V is ok and other main voltage rails.

It seems the power supply is defective, since unplugging D20 ribbon cable that goes from D-board to SC-board makes the behavior change, the TV stays on, there's no image nor VSUS, but 15V reads 2.4V, high enough to not trip the SOS 12 blinks, so it stays on, fans do not spin but I left it 2 hours, green led lit up...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
          by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board
