I said it very early on in the post(post#7)...matter of fact, I need to remove A board to inspect any connectors underneath as he left many things disconnected. He was obviously in over his head..frustrated..plus he had no idea if the boards he bought were good..

Well, this has been most educational at the very least..I know a ton more about how this set works and have the reference materials..

3 days on a pc? Why? OS is a dime a dozen. 7? 8? 10? Linux? Maybe on a TV, but never a PC! They are cake next to a 3D plasma!! Let me know if I can help.
Get this, When I removed the A Board I found that 90% of the screws that hold it in place were loose and three of them were missing altogether. All three of the missing screw holes had ground pads..My bad..he told me he replaced the boards and put the originals back..I should have checked.

I think I know your responses to this question will be to clean and reseat ribbon cables from SU/SD boards. But I am going to ask anyway. I have some tuner cleaner..is it okay to use that to clean sockets and ribbons?

              Thanks

I wouldn't use any cleaner. Just make sure they're seated properly. Always a pain on a Panasonic.

Do not adjust them with power on... only ever change the connections with power OFF!

Ditto, the tracks may delaminate from the ribbon if you start using cleaners, it's happened to me using alcohol on other ribbonconnectors.. 100% just needs to be seated correctly

Anyway, nice result once you sort that.

Well, I had not read the thread and went ahead and used a little tuner cleaner..mostly on the sockets..after four times I got them all aligned.
very nice pictures from this set.

Thanks for all of your help guys..BTW, I did send the SC core to Moduslink to be repaired..so i will have one for sale in a week or two!

Panasonic ZT60 plasma tv with strange behavior and 8 blink code
                        by cloo
I recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.

So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.
After doing a factory reset this problem was gone and the picture was back to...

Panasonic TH-50PX8EA Black screen, only relay clicks
                        by Rensiee
                        Hello,
I have been reading a few threads on here regarding Panasonic plasma tv's. I've found one thread which explains the same problem as mine, unfortunately the thread has not been completed.
I got a free tv (TH-50PX8EA) from a friend which shows no screen. When plugged in only one red light shows up and when pushing the ON button, the red LED turns of and will only turn on again when pressing the ON button again.

When plugging in the TV i hear two relays click fast and after a few seconds the third relay clicks.
I have measured the voltage in the VSUS line, which...

Carver CM-1090 - Power relay clicking on & off, then fuse blown after 20-30 seconds of power cycling.
                        by beetle1303
I gotten a Carver CM-1090 amplifier from a friend who has kept it in storage for decades. Opened it up, thick layer of dust cumulated everywhere. Vacuumed it semi-cleaned, and blown off as much as possible the remaining dust. This is a 220V version.

On initial powered up with nothing connected - it works with all the lights and button indicator lit up as pressed, etc. I then powered off, connected a CD player into the CD RCA input and powered it on. It seemed to work for a short while and when I turned the volume up and down to see the the VUs works, the power started to clicked off...

                        Panasonic TH-42PZ800 8-blink error mystery
                        by nervx
Years ago my tv gave a 7 blink code which turned into 8 during diagnosis. I had ordered a replacement ss board but somehow the tv started working again and i never used the board. Now a week ago my tv flickered and shut off at random and gave the 8 blink error code. The same issue it had all those years ago. The only difference this time is that over the last few months there has been some purple and green tinge that comes and goes in more solid colors such as white.

Anyway i checked all the screws and replaced the ss board with a known good one and still got 8 blinks. I saw a...

60" LG 60PB690V relay clicking issue
                        by DodgyTech
                        Hi everyone,

I require some help with my TV. The TV standby light blicks on and off with a clicking sound (relay?) from the back. After I opened up the TV, I set about troubleshooting by unplugging the boards to try and isolate the problem. My troubleshooting suggests that the logic board is causing the issue, but it could entirely be the YSUS board which is only activated once the logic board is connected.

I have recorded a video which I thought would be an easier way to explain the problem and show the boards at the same time.

I would like to try and identify...
