    Sceptre X32BV-FullHD repeating columns

So my Sceptre X32BV-FullHD started solarizing a year ago and I just got around to replacing the T-con board. The image is fixed but now some of the it is being repeated.

Is this problem caused by the new T-con board or something else?

The OSD is also affected by this.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Is replacement T-Con identical to original?

If you refit the original, does the picture take correct order of displayed items--even though it has other issues....?

As a tip--I wouldnt run the set without that metal frame on the screen--The COF Chips rely on it for a heatsink and on some panels run extremely hot, that could lead to destruction.

Yes, the T-con is identical to the original.

I threw the original back in and I am not getting a picture at all...

Oh, and I put the frame back on (I had no idea it functioned as a heatsink ).

I had such problem with Samsung panel in grundig tv set, try to remove the frame around panel and gently press the first, top test strip foil from the left side of panel, for me the pressure is solved duplication, I had duplicated video and menus.

              Re: Sceptre X32BV-FullHD repeating columns

I have tried tapping everything around the panel and I get no change in the picture at all. When I release the ribbon cable (the one I am holding down in the picture), the left side of the picture looses form and becomes a bunch of vertical lines. I have switched ribbon cables and nothing changes, so they aren't the problem.

              Any other thoughts?

Hang on... You are holding down one of the tab bonds which then the image changes if you let go of it?

Not the tabs. The ribbon that connects the T-con to the board that connects via tab to the lcd (I don't know what its called)(top right of the picture). While the image does change, it never corrects itself. When I hold down the ribbon and the connection is perfect, the images is doubled. This makes me believe the problem is pre ribbon cable.

TCL 50S535 bad tcon or panel issue?
                    by x_orange90_x
Just bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...

Driving a Sharp TCON/panel with a universal main board
                    by advant
This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

LG OLED77G1PUA - No Video / Audio after a TCON Board change and Software Update
                    by Hakuu
                    Hi There,

This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

Sony 8K XBR-75Z8H White Screen Vertical Bars Tcon Code. Help Needed🙏
                    by Daren87
                    Hello everyone,

I've recently been given a Sony 8k Z8H. It's got a white screen with two vertical black bars. At times it's given me the 5 blink Tcon code. Testing voltage on the Tcon I can see some low or missing voltage. I've done a basic visual check of cables and the COF. Not seeing anything obvious. The original Tcon seemed to have good caps until turning it over. On the bottom I found maybe 10 caps with both sides of the caps shorting to ground. I thought ok these caps and likely other components on the Tcon are shorted so let's try a replacement Tcon. I just received the...

Lg TCon test pins for screen test
                    by alltvrepairs
                    Hi,
i have a 65 Panasonic TX-65HX710E using vestel 17MB170 main and Lg tcon.

Few drops of water fell probably near COF and have no display. Tried removing tabs but no.part of display present as if tcon fuse open. However 12v is present and tcon can be felt warm enough that supplies are present. Backlight and sound ok.

Anyone knows if this TCon 6870c-0805A has any special test pins for rgb test?

                    Appreciate your help....
