I tried to fix the vertical white bar on the right side of the screen.I reseated the ribbon cables but the white bar was still there. Thanks to the forum I was told it was not repairable. NOW a new problem. After about 100 screws, I put it back together. Now There is a black square on the top left side. I tried to reseat the ribbon cables but that did not work. Any suggestions?

Looks as tho the left hand bond has completely failed.

Unfortunately it does look like the panel driver for that part of the panel has failed - it is worth checking you seated the Vadr power connector though.
Be careful not to reseat all connectors with power on or shortly after as this can cause further damage.
The ribbons are also very thin... it's possible that you tore one of them.

what does the Vadr power connector look like?

Two small wires on a 3-pin header, connects between the boards running across top & bottom and the Y-drive/X-drive boards. Approx 75V-80V on that connector.

now this is weird, when I remove the 3rd & 4th ribbon from the y board, that area goes black all the way across the screen but my problem black square area s now a lighter shade of black

How did you remove the ribbons? I thought they were bonded on this set. Maybe I'm thinking of another panel... the Kuro 9G ones are... and so are the 8G ones...

they were just clipped in with a plastic locking bar

Yea... I am thinking of another set.
You're just seeing the difference between priming glow and no priming glow.
The drivers running along the top and bottom edges of the screen put the actual picture information on the panel.
The drivers running along the side (X/Y-drive plus Y-buffer) are responsible for creating the priming glow and making the actual display image appear.
(Modern plasma panels make very low priming glow to improve image quality.)

do you think a new y upper buffer will fix this? also I was taking the upper buffer out and I guess I was still plugged in and it sparked and the tv turned off. Now when I try to turn it on it turns on for 1 second then clicks and turns off. Is there a master reset?

No as I said this will never be fixed by a y-buffer
The panel is bad , you may have caused additional damage but it was bad to start with unfortunately and there's nothing you can do. Sorry!
