Apologies for resurrecting this old thread .

I've a 32W1333b TV with the dreaded Blinky red green LED ..

Looks like it got the Corrupted firmware issue as I can Update the Files via USB ok, but not found a file for this TV that works .

Read all the stuff I can find on the forum, and been playing about with 2 lots of files found on here .. from Reecyburger and russellhearn69, thanks Guys
Admittedly both files for a 40 in screen .

One gives a display with slightly dodgy fonts and an Upside down Picture.
and the other gives a Blank screen only .

I have also download the correct (32inch) single file from the Toshiba site , and renamed it to that of the successful( upside down) flash file but this gives a blank screen.

Wondering if the usb_auto_update_A1 txt file might need editing , but this so far is a little outside my comfort zone

    any advice peeps ..

    Cheers

    Chris

Thanks, I gave that a go but it didn't work. Also judging from the earlier comments this firmware is missing a bootloader. I tried the one provided by the Danish manufacturer of a similar model but no luck there either. There has been no indication of a power surge or the LEDs all popping out anything like that. Seems it just can't initiate anything. Any ideas of anything on the hardware side that could have done this?

You could try doing a firmware update. Information and files available from

Hi guys, I'm not sure if anyone is still checking this thread but I have a very similar problem. Whenever I turn on my tv with the remote it will flash green and red 5 or 6 times before staying red. If I press the power button on my remote again the same will happen but it will stay green. And it will continue like that. Prior to this there were no problems with the tv. Now it will just stay completely black at all times. I have tried leaving the tv off for varying amounts of time before powering up again: one minute, one hour, overnight. I have tried a couple of variations on the bootloader and firmware updates listed earlier in the thread.
Does anyone have any other ideas as to what to try? If this is indicating a hardware fault - any ideas as to what to check out?
Thanks for any suggestions you guys might have.

Its the same and sounds like you updated it wrong You have to do it specifically as I stated in my other threads about these. Also only difference is the Lcd panels mate, B uses Samsung Lcd and backlight module and DB uses Samsung lcd and Vestel backlight module the firmware will be the same though panel info might be off but that is fixable. You updated it wrong likely

It looks like it will be a difficult fix unfortunately.
You could try looking at the UART output, if you have an RS232 cable for a PC.
That might inform as to where it is having difficulty.
I know you can open the image files as SquashFS partitions and fix things.
Maybe too much work for this "Toshiba" Vestel junk.

    Worth a try...
As long as you don't touch mboot you can't make it worse AFAIK... so it's worth trying whatever files you can.
Rename file to same name, though.

Would replacing the mb90_en.bin file from nsi-el with the Toshiba one make a difference? I've since pulled the memory key and switched power off and back on. Issue persists.

100MB file, could take a while I guess but 20min sounds too long...
No penalty pulling out USB now, as long as mboot is not replaced, it will only leave it in the original condition. It's possible that it doesn't like that file.

Toshiba 49U6863DB blinking red/green power indicator
    by mad_philly
    Hey all,

I have a Toshiba 49U6863DB with a blinking red/green power indicator, although it's intermittent. I went through https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=45796 which is the same issue on another model.

There are no online updates per the settings menu and I cannot find any firmware for this model, only software from Vestel. I downloaded this and extracted to a blank FAT-formatted flash drive. Turned on the TV and inserted the drive. Media browser popped up and of course didn't recognise the files. Tried powering on with OK pressed but that didn't seem...

    Toshiba 55U7863DG - green light blinking (17MB130S)
    by naddaw000
Hello, I am trying to bring back to life my Toshiba 55U7863DG, which has never been the most reliable device - keep on annoying me with its slowness and some random start-up/shutdown issues requiring to unplug the AC. But yesterday it finally said goodbye and decided to not turn on again. Green light is blinking, I've seen this behaviour before and thought that these are some temporary whims again, but unfortunately not this time.

I have checked that my TV is build based on the 17MB130S board, which seems to be quite popular and easy to buy as a used one. Still I would like to ask...
