    LC-52D62U PWR,2-OPC,5. Pictures Included

Just picked up a LC-52D62U the previous owner claimed it had a blue screen and audio but when I got it home the backlights came on with no video. I get a Power 2- OPC 5 Blink code which points to the 12V_PNL_PWR error. The Service Manual can be downloaded free at you do have to wait like 2 minutes before the page will let you download it. There is a blinking LED on the main, yet I suspect the CCFL, or inverter failure. I tried finding a datasheet for the inverter transformer but was unsucessful. I would like to learn how to test these components yet the schematics are over my head. It would seem that the newer tvs have a feedback circuit on these inverter transformers. I have found some posts on this error, and it did not end well im sure we could figure it out, and it will be solved for the rest. I have a meter and a scope, as well as a CCFL tester ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/12-24V-CCFL-...item2ecbb1511d ) but i do not beleive its strong enough to test a ccfl from a 52" tv.

did some more research on that blinking LED it is very close to IC2002 according to the service manual ic2002 is:

    1.8. IC2002 (RH-iXB345WJZZQ)
The monitor microprocessor is intended to communicate with the main microprocessor and to operate the system. It also controls power of the entire
    system.

Id still like to test those CCFL's / Transformers, but those mainboard bga's are always suspicious

" I get a Power 2- OPC 5 Blink code which points to the 12V_PNL_PWR error" Then you should check the Voltage on the SMD fuse of the T-Con to see if the T-CON is getting the 12VDC or not.

"but when I got it home the backlights came on with no video" So I do not see why you will be looking at the inverter circuit problem.

HANNSG Hi221 -- 2 secs to black feat. CCFL flicker & "burn" marks on power board
        by ttmi100x
        Greetings everyone,

I have a HANNSG Hi221 monitor that exhibits two seconds to black issues (backlight goes off, display is still on as confirmed by shining a flashlight on it) with some additional oddities...

The monitor failed on me with a standard "2 seconds to black" some time ago prompting me to initially replace most of the electrolytic capacitors (some of them were bulging/leaking).
Things kinda sorta worked for a night, then the problem returned along with some flickering and "buzzing" noises.

        Upon closer inspection...

Help on Samsung Syncmaster T220 dead ccfl lamp
        by mikey5791
        Hi,

This monitor previously is my main working monitor which i have been using for 8~9 years. Yesterday, when i switched on my pc from fresh to power on, the monitor is just black no display. I started dismantle to look inside the monitor power board but nothing looks suspicious or burnt. So i took my external ccfl inverter to try to power the monitor ccfl lamps which consisted of 2 lamps on upper part and 2 lamps on the lower part.

Found out the upper ccfl lamp which is supposed to connect to cn304 on the power board did not light up. Then i installed a used working...

Samsung UE70TU6905 BACKLIGHTS AND SOUND ON NO PICTURES BUT SCREEN NOT DARK
        by bohaboha
Hi it looks like everything works don't know where to test except the 390v in the 2 capacitor in the hot side of the power supply and the weird 180v in the diodes in the cold side that should be discharged it is writin on the circuit no more you can read what is written on the circuit quite srrange color mixiing yellow and white
        anyhow i couldn't t read anything else
the backlight is on strong and the screen does not get dark or very dark but no pictures
the mainborad feels a bit hott on the black part i test it to 52 degree's against 34 to 40 on the rest of it

        SVOD4 PCB pictures + parts
        by 2elw
Hey, I find it very absurd that the SVOD4 costs so much and has zero documentation. I had no other choice than to buy it to unlock ECs, if there was any documentation or firmware avalible I could've made it or something simmilar. Anyways here are some of the most important parts:

STM32H723VGT6 MCU - It's a microcontroller by STMicroelectronics and its the whole brain of the SVOD4. It has flash memory for the firmware which can be updated by the SVOD4 program. Its also powered by the AMS117 which converts 5v into 3.3V. 7€ on AliExpress.

        GW1N-UV9UG169C6/I5 FPGA - Its a...

LG 55UH6150- trouble powering up, then half lit screen (pictures!)
        by valvashon
The 55" LG has been in the basement for a few months without being used. Turned it on yesterday, set came on as it should and showed a complete screen for about 5 seconds (was on a broadcast channel but no antenna was connected), then the screen went mostly dark with about 1/3 of the screen on the right lighting up with brighter lines in that lit part (sorry, no pictures of that). Power LED was cycling too, preventing the TV from fully powering up.
Pulled the back off, all boards looked OK. Pulled the LED connector, turned the set on to see if it would power up but I don't belive it...
