    Re: Dynex TV power supply

I assume your meaning these caps? They confused me a bit. I am ordering off http://www.digikey.ca/

Can you point me to a replacement for these? I have all the rest of the caps on their way to replace everything.

    Thanks, Walter

On about the BIG cap, Usually on a PFC they are 450v but yours is a 250v. Can you take a few photos around that big cap please... One directly above, and one angled at each quarter point (like North East South West) orientation so we can see around 'especially' so we can clearly see what is mounted to the heatsinks.

Please also upload good clear pictures of the bottom side of the board.

              Sorry, forgot that one.

I also included the service manual on post 7. It has the layout as well.

                These joints look terrible.

Looks as if leaded solder is sitting on top of unleaded and they haven't been heated enough to allow the alloys to flow.

Some of them look like they are barely holding the leads.

I would suggest redoing them all, Make sure they get hot enough for them to flow properly.... Also some look like they need more solder added

I also wonder what kind of DCV between the two legs of that main filter 680uF 250VDC is.
