    philips 42pf9831d/10

    I have this Philips 42pf9831d/10 when tv is turn on working ok but if you turn tv channel over by the side buttons it switch's the tv of and the red light starts flashing and can not turn tv back on ontill you unplug tv and plug it back in and tv will come back on. if you change channels the red light it will flash 1 red light and then delay and flash quick 4 red lights thank that must be a fault code sounds like mainboard no bad caps in the psu.

          just tried remote works ok on everything but not when turn the channel tv go of and flash's red light and can not do anything until I unplug tv and plug back in again

            just tried switching from input from hd 1 hd 2 in the input mode tv just went of again same fault red light flashing

                sounds like a main board problem of some sort. First I thought the tuner, but since you are flicking between HDMI channels back and forth and get the same thing as a result, it must be somewhere else. Maybe you find a cheap board on ebay or shopjimmi.

                  anybody else have any ideas tv switch's of when changing channels or inputs like changing hd to tv or tv to hd then go,s of and red light flashes 1-4 times
