    SPI EEPROM Programmer's and the required adaptor's are readily available for this form factor, however I imagine the device would have its read protection set

      There is no read protection on SPI EEPROM. Just write protection.

          Tried 470uf across GND to Vcc and same thing happened. Going to order replacement board.

              teac 40" do not turn off scan loop problem
              this fix worked for me

              Everything looked fine. Anyway while i had it apart i thought i would give the eeproms and the SMD components around them a minute or two blast with my heat gun.

              hit both eeproms with heat for about 60 secs @ about 80 degs
              now tv works perfectly strange fix but worked for me
