Opinion on defect on Panasonic TC-P55gt50

    Hi,

So I'm looking for some opinions on a picture fault on this panasonic plasma. Alittle back story of the tv, we purchased the tv with 7 Blinks with failed sc board due to the screws loosening up. We repaired the sc board, installed lock washers on the screws and sold the tv. The person who purchased the tv has had it for about 2 weeks. This morning the send a text message saying the tv has developed a "blemish" and attached some pictures. The pictures are not great quality, but to me it appears the screen has been cracked. Both pictures the tv appears on as the red led light it lit. I remeber not to long ago someone posted similar looking defect and they ended up useing super glue to stop the gas from escaping. Please let me know what you think of this defect, I feel like if it was a shorted panel it would have taken out a buffer board. Any opinion is welcome.

We have seen a similar fault before on an ST30:
        https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=42602

It is impact damage and may clear up or just fail altogether.

Tom, that was the thread I was referring too. I think it looks very similar to that fault. I have not seen the tv in person yet to confirm if there is a small crack or not yet, I was just hoping for Alittle reassurance. We do sell our TVs with a 90 day warranty, but we do not cover physical damage to the tv. This one was sold to a friend of ours at a great price as it was a very nice looking tv and they wanted to upgrade from a older lg plasma. I will report back after I have seen the tv in person for a final conclusion.

We went on site to look at the tv. There are no cracks in the panel. The fault only occurs when the customer is using his satellite box. He didn't try any other devices prior to us coming out there. When hooked up to dvd, blu ray and internet apps, the picture is flawless with no faults. We tried a different hdmi cable on the sattilite box and it still had the fault. We are glad it's not related to the tv. Now the customer must convince his sattelite provider to replace his box.

Panasonic TC-P55ST50 8 blinks then no blinks
              by Andre Gilbert
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing hereπŸ€”?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting πŸ˜‚.

Problem with PANASONIC CF53 laptop after changing BIOS settings
              by AquaMan Ua
Hello. I am asking you for a hint on how to solve the problem with my touchbook Panasonic CF53-2 standart model. After setting up the BIOS, the laptop displays the wrong image until Windows loads. (More precisely, it displays, but distorted, instead of the Panasonic image immediately after turning it on, it displays what is in photo #1 in the attached file) Then the image appears when Windows starts loading and then there are no problems with the screen until the reboot. If you enter the BIOS, just a black screen. If you connect an external screen, the image on it is the same as on the built-in...

              Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 mk1 BIOS repair
              by aa10aa10
              Good day,

I have tried to remove BIOS supervisor password from Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 mk1. Model number CF-33AENABTG, unfortunately I don't have any other info.

I read the BIOS using afuwin, edited it and tried to flash new edited BIOS using afuwin. Unsuccessfully. Afuwin showed "Error: Problem erasing flash." starting with 0x00040000 and stoped. Then I tried many other options to flash BIOS from Windows without any luck. Finally i rebooted the device - and no post. Afterwards I have read the corrupted bios chip (MX25L12873F) using EZP2010 programmer....
