Right we know that we have the power supply board problem (no other boards connected to the power supply board) due to fluctuating A5V which looks like it is caused by excessive current draw by the IC.
We still do not know if you have the main board problem or not.

So I bought a new ICM801 and replaced it.
A5V is unstable and the clicking noise is still there.

So the A5V is still unstable when no other board connected to it, right?
Need to look further in that section where the ICM801 is. I will have to look at the diagram further.

Do you have some caps in stock?
I would like you to replace cap CM812 (10uf 50V), CS805 (47uF 50V) to see if the A5V will become steady.

Sadly I don't have these in stock, but I can order some.
Do they need to be any Low ESR type or something?
              How will CS805 influence it?

My 40D5000 also had a bouncing voltage going to the mainboard. Just powersupply connected to the mains turned the backlight on. You probably already tried that right?

Reecey is right , the mainboard cpu gets really hot and the heatsink is to small.
I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!

Yes it turns the backlight on, but it turns of instantly again in an endless loop.

Is there any way to check the mainboard? Could it be really shorted or just a bad solder joint on the cpu? How many pins are under the cpu? Did anyone try to reball it?

                        Hi again

I replaced both of them. A5V not stable.

Sorry, I ran out of ideas, I still think something is loading the down the VCC line produced by the AUX winding of the standby transformer that supplies the switched VCC to the LED driver circuit.

I tried to jumper the PSU (PS_On and A5V, which seemed to be 5V_SB), but this killed a small Transistor. The PSU still works.
What did you replace this transistor this with?

I found a damaged double Z-Diode (for the CI) on the mainboard and soldered it out.
Again what did you replace this with?
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

                                    Okay, I surrender.

I couldn't find the fault the last time and i couldn't find it this time even with your help.

Now by accidentally shorting Lvcc and Hvcc of ICM801 I probably killed it and some other stuff around it too.

At least A5V is now dead stable at 5.2V

                                        Hey guys,

I've got a small update for you:
I just bought a new PSU (BN44-00473B instead of "A"). The PSU appears to be working fine but the TV is still completely dead.
I checked all voltages while everything was connected and they seem to be okay.

The two voltage regulators (IC206_T5V: 178M09 and IC706_T5V: LD1117AG) get pretty hot but there is absolutely no sign of life. Even the PSU doesn't switch off.

                                        Any ideas on this?

Dead / No Power / No Standby Light results after power company had three
consecutive power outages on/off/on/off/on/off after which TV was rendered unresponsive.

After exploring the issue found Mainboard was the fault. Then with research on this site determined IC1604 was the suspect. The IC1604 is a surface mounted device (SMD) EEPROM, Winbond Model 25Q40CLSIP. A read on this EEPROM came back with all FF FF FF FF FF in all registers blank and empty of data. I had a spare mainboard with intact IC1604 and utilized...

                                          Hello everyone!

Tonight I picked up a Samsung UN65NU6900FXZA with a curious issue.

                                          Symptoms:

                                          1) Plug TV in to AC outlet, stand-by light illuminates briefly and goes out.
                                          2) TV does not appear to turn on
                                          3) Backlights do not illuminate, voltages associated with backlights on Power Supply are not present
                                          4) "Power on" terminal on Power Supply has 3.26v
                                          5) "A13V" terminals have 12.9v
                                          6) Stand-by test jumper on Power Supply has 12.9V
                                          7) Optical audio jack on Main Board illuminates
                                          8) With stand-by...

                                          Hey Everyone,

So I've got this Samsung and the reported issue is that when powered on the backlight comes on, but no picture, no sound, it will flicker, the standby light will flash red twice and repeat the whole process...each loop lasts about 15 seconds.

I've googled the issue and understand it is likely a panel/driver board issue, but was hoping the "tape method" could be successful. Before I did that though, I disconnected the left LVDS cable and powered the TV on. This time I got sound, no picture and the two blink standby light stopped. Did the same...

                                          Hello all ~

I’m working on this Samsung 60” LED and purchased a new main board a couple of days ago that did not fix the 5 blink issue. The original main board’s HDMI ports (all 4 of them) failed to work and no amount of reflow remedied that.

This 5 red light blink code on the front panel LED is followed (about 15-20 seconds afterward) by an automatic reboot, and results in 5 more red light blinks. Then the entire cycle repeats itself indefinitely.

                                          No picture. No sound.

I tested all the voltages coming out of the power supply...

I have a Samsung 65in 4k tv with 2 light spots that I am wondering if anyone can help me with the cause of them. One has been visible for a while but I just had a 2nd spot start recently. I am thinking some sort of LED or LED lense/reflector issue. They look to light to be pixel problems but I guess that could be it also. Everyone on here has always been great at helping an amateur like me repair tv's so figured I would start here to see if anyone has an idea of what it might be....
