Re: Samsung UE46D6200 not turning on
After everything cooled down again the TV turns on normally until the problems starts again. When I unscrew the mainboard screws a little bit it takes more time until the problems appear. So definitely a heat related problem. Bad solderjoint probably under the cpu.
This matches pretty good with what I found on the old mainboard. After I removed the chips there were plenty of loose solderballs which you could knock over just by looking at them. The caps in the picture are also bulged. Sadly I don't have the equipment to try a reballing....

Re: Samsung UE46D6200 not turning on
Ok I ordered a "new" mainboard. The first board that arrived wasn't working at all and the replacement board did work for 10 minutes.
It did freeze every two minutes with the sound starting to loop, the image getting completely destroyed and not reacting to any of the touch buttons at all. After this it restarted and repeated.
After the 10 minutes it went black and now it's just turning the backlight on and off without showing any image at all. The backlight turns on for about 15 seconds and then turns off before the process...

Re: Samsung UE46D6200 not turning on
It's even sadder because it appears to be one of the few Tv's of the D-series that doesn't have bonding problems.

Samsung UE46D6200 not turning on
Hi guys,
I currently have a Samsung UE46D6200TSXZG which does not turn on. When connecting the power cord the standby LED comes on normally. When pressing the power button the standby LED starts flashing 2x 5 times. After these flashes you can hear the mainboard switching on for a second. When I connected the TV the first time it did flash the backlight for a very short time but since then I didn't see it again.

PSU: BN44-00458A (PSLF151A03D)

Re: SHARP LC-40LE814E turns off after 20min
The detailed error code is a 2-5.
Directly after switching the power switch on:
PNL12V: 12. 93V
PNL-POW: 0.12V
After around 8 seconds (assuming the TV is trying to start):
PNL12V: 7V
PNL-POW: 3.23V
Then it starts displaying the error code :
PNL12V: 4.28V
PNL-POW: 0.1V
Tried that already. It's still 4-7V
Is there a way to check if it's the PSU or the TCON? Apply external 12V?...

Re: SHARP LC-40LE814E turns off after 20min
Hi again!
I'm back with the same TV. This time it doesn't turn on at all and is just blinking two times.
I checked the voltages on the PD connector in the first seconds after hitting the power switch:
(PD-1-2)UR13.2V(SIGNAL): 12.9V
(PD-3-4)S13V.2(AUDIO): 12.9V
(PD-5-6)SGND(AUDIO): 0V
(PD-7-8)SGND(SIGNAL): 0V
(PD-9)AC-DET: 3V
(PD-10)PS-ON: 3V
(PD-11)BU5V: 5V
(PD-12)PNL-POW: 0.1V
After a few seconds the board goes into standby.
I also checked the pnl12v...

Re: No Stdby Light Samsung Ue46d5000
Hey guys,
I've got a small update for you:
I just bought a new PSU (BN44-00473B instead of "A"). The PSU appears to be working fine but the TV is still completely dead.
I checked all voltages while everything was connected and they seem to be okay.
The two voltage regulators (IC206_T5V: 178M09 and IC706_T5V: LD1117AG) get pretty hot but there is absolutely no sign of life. Even the PSU doesn't switch off.
Any ideas on this?

Re: No Stdby Light Samsung Ue46d5000
Okay, I surrender.
I couldn't find the fault the last time and i couldn't find it this time even with your help.
Now by accidentally shorting Lvcc and Hvcc of ICM801 I probably killed it and some other stuff around it too.
At least A5V is now dead stable at 5.2V
Fucking Trash

Okay, thank you for your time. I'll try some things.
I did replace both boards with new, used ones....

Hi again
I replaced both of them. A5V not stable....

Re: No Stdby Light Samsung Ue46d5000
Yes it turns the backlight on, but it turns of instantly again in an endless loop.
Is there any way to check the mainboard? Could it be really shorted or just a bad solder joint on the cpu? How many pins are under the cpu? Did anyone try to reball it?

Capacities >470uF but none is capable of 50V+

Re: No Stdby Light Samsung Ue46d5000
Sadly I don't have these in stock, but I can order some.
Do they need to be any Low ESR type or something?
How will CS805 influence it?

Re: No Stdby Light Samsung Ue46d5000
So I bought a new ICM801 and replaced it.
A5V is unstable and the clicking noise is still there.

Re: No Stdby Light Samsung Ue46d5000
Lifted ICM801 Pin7-LVCC, reconnected collector of QM801 and removed 100 ohm resistor between BL-ON and GND. A5V still stable at 5.26V
I guess I have to order a new FSFR1700XSL now, right?
What exactly is the reason for this IC to fail? Since it's in the backlight circuit I suspect it has nothing to do with a shorted CPU or any other fault on the mainboard, right?

Re: No Stdby Light Samsung Ue46d5000
I get 14.6 DCV on the collector.
Main cap is charged to 392 VDC.
It wouldn't be the first time that such an IC failed. Is there anything more to check to determine if it's the ICM801 or the caps (you mean the ceramic caps CM802, 803, 804, 805, 806, 809 and 813 or the electrolytic caps CM807, 812 and 814?)

Re: No Stdby Light Samsung Ue46d5000
I disconnected the collector of QM801 (E and B still connected) and removed the 100 ohms resistor between PS-ON and GND. Resistor between BL-ON and GND stays.
A5V still stable at 5.26V.
