    Seiki SE32fy22 no backlight

Got this TV from an appliance store with five others. This one is a lot different from what I am used to board wise. Pretty cheap looking. Anyway I think the LED's have a problem so before I rip apart, just wanted to get another opinion.

Got Red led on front when plugged in and blue when power pushed and voltages come up but don't know what voltage should be going to LED's. I am getting 69.7 volts out to LED'S and panel appears good I can see the "no signal" display when I shine flashlight on screen.

Never been into the led area and it appears the tab bonds are on the bottom and it looks like the tab boards are stuck to back of TV shell with double sided tape? No screws any where. Anybody else been into one of these? Thanks

There is a separate thread about this the leds themselves would have failed unfortunately, common issue with these panels.

When you find the blown leds use the other good leds from the other panels and solder them in to make a good pannle, thats what I would do as finding replacements is very hard.

Thanks ReeceyBurger123. Do you know if the tab boards are just taped to the shell? Looks like it to me so I will gently try to separate them from the shell.

The other TV's I have left are new but have broken panels. They are two 50" toshiba's and a 60" 3d samsung. Will have to see if I can use any of them.

        Thanks again.

yes the boards with tab bonds were just stuck with double sided tape so here we go.

Your welcome, use a heat gun and heat the case so that the tape loosens and you can pull the case away with out damaging the tabs.

well, I guess I screwed the pooch! Found the problem and was very careful with panel and tabs, but I guess not careful enough.

Got down to the LED's and it was loose connection on bottom strip.

Went back as careful as could be and now this is what I have? Double checked T-con connections, etc.

Hmm looks like a bad panel or tab issue, maybe it got damaged when you took it out unfortunately
Have you got a remote you can try doing a factory reset, or if you have another mainboard try swapping them around to be sure.

Took front bezel off and found bottom right corner has chip in panel so it is toast.. Will be more careful in the future. Terrible it was a new TV with just a loose connection on led string. Thanks for the help.

No problem let us know how the other tvs go, thats a shame but tbh the tv wouldnt have lasted long anyway be sure to keep them led strips as they can come in very handy.

Thanks. Just took out the panel and think I will use it for a light source. Have gotten one of the TV's going, a 47" Vizio smart TV so at least got one good one outta the bunch. Take Care

this tv is throwing me for a loop. do samsung tvs no longer have the backlight self test feature built into the power supply?
i tested the backlight with my LED tester and it lights up both strips. one of them reads 100v and the other reads 63.7v.
unplugged mainboard from power supply but left backlight plugged in, and then plugged psu wall power in. expected to see backlights light up but see nothing.
according to how ive diagnosed in the past, this would almost always be a bad power supply. replacement power supply was cheap like 20$ from ebay. but still i get not even...

ASUS ROG Strix G713QR - Keyboard, backlight and side LEDs don't work
                          by hollox123
Hello, I have an "ASUS ROG Strix G713QR" laptop, and for approx. 3 months I have the following problems:

                          1. Laptop keyboard doesn't work
                          2. The backlight on the laptop keyboard doesn't work
                          3. The x2 side LEDs (red) on the laptop don't work

The power button works, the touchpad works, and all the USB, HDMI, Ethernet, etc. ports work.

I already tried to reinstall all the drivers and reinstall Windows. So I don't know what to try anymore that is software-related.

But I am strongly aiming that it is somehow a BIOS-related problem,...

Panasonic LED TV TC-40A420U - Replaced Backlight LEDs but now no image/display or garbled
                          by signal.quest
I have a Panasonic LED TV TC-40A420U. The TV was given to me as an attempt to fix or throw out. I replaced the Backlight LEDs and now the screen lights up, but there is no image/display. If I play with the up/down buttons I can get the display to change from black to garbled. I can't get sound from HDMI but not sure of what input is selected. I have no remote control. When I connect a laptop to the HDMI ports it recognizes a Panasonic TV for display and sound output but I can't see or hear anything through the TV. This makes me think the mainboard is OK, but not sure if mainboard can...

Guide me through repairing a Dell p2210f LCD ccfl backlight monitor
                          by DanPoka
I bought this p2210f dell monitor to fix. Schematic is the same as p2210.
Behaviour is that monitors comes on but then backlight switches off almost instantly. If I look with flashlight I can still find the "No signal message". So definitely a backlight issue. Trying to advance the issue I proved that the protection circuit is switching off the backlight by shorting out C3 and resistor to disable the INL chip then re enable by removing the short.
This is where it gets interesting. When I disassembled the monitor to solder leads on c3 capacitor I noticed the backlight flickered...

                          Hello all,

Am trying to figure out this backlight issue with this A1990 Macbook Pro.

                          Tests performed:

There is no backlight even with a good screen.
Backlight IC is receiving the correct support voltages.
                          Fuse F8400 ok
                          Current sense resistor R8400 ok
Backlight IC is receiving 3.3V on enable pin.
Backlight IC receiving voltage from PPBUS_G3H, aprox 12.5V.
Backlight IC receiving 5V from PP5V_G3S
Backlight IC BKLT_SCL and BKLT_SDA both measure 0.545V diode mode to ground
                          I2C_BKLT_SCL and I2C_BKLT_SDA both measure...
