Do you have any IGBTs from other Panasonic Sc boards spare, like dg502, rjp63f3a etc?

Roughly 5k. I also got new needle probes today and they take a bit of getting used to.

This is the only Panasonic SC I have. Well, I probably have a couple working Panasonic boards, but they would be store inventory so I wouldn't want to mess with them.

I was not sure if you've done some other board repair and had some bits leftover. DG502 would work for a 2pg011 and I'd be confident with rjp63f3a for q661, that's all

I just remembered I have a TNPA5066AC in my scrap box. It's got a couple of the parts I need. I haven't checked them yet though.

maybe, though would it not be a dead board? don't think it'll have enough , maybe the dg501 would still be ok and 30f125 if it has them , i forget. I know it has rjp63f3 and rjp56f4 and rjp43f4

It does. Not enough though. Funny thing is that I have all the bad components marked on it. I guess I was going to try to fix it at one time. I'd have no way to test though, so I guess that's why it's in the scrap bin.

Yes, it would be hard to fix without a run up. i blew my first attempt, got it second time around. Still have one here to paly with but i already have sn x 2 and ss x 2 for the tv spared, don't fell like pulling it apart now that it's used.

might as well just order what you need then

Yeah, plus, I'll someday get another TV which takes that board and then I'll fix it and be able to test it. My policy is not to sell anything which I can't test. Although, that doesn't always mean 100% tested. In the case of a broken screen, you can only partially test. But to perform a complex repair and then not test, that is an absolute no.

Looks like I'm going to have to spend some hours cross-referencing parts. Wish there were a cross-reference database somewhere.

Ok, everything is on order. All from China so this will be on hold for about a month. I ordered 20 of everything so I am good for a few tries. If I got it right, I might add this to my short list of boards I do exchange services on. I will post back when the parts are all in.

don't forget about chines new year. a lot of places shutdown for a month

I've figured out most of the panasonic part codes for the sc boards of this era

Yes we have!

Ive done a couple--Its just that they are a right Pain in the Ass, and need SO many parts to do, because of the way the circuits are designed causing all the driver and other parts to fail!
--They certainly aint a quick fix or particularly easy even for a well experienced engineer.

If you (as you say) a newbie, it may be best to just buy replacement SC....

I'm still waiting on parts for mine. I guess I ordered just before the Chinese New Year, which is evidently a month or more. Well, as much stuff as they produce in a year, they deserve a month off.

lookimback, When you power on the TV does the fans spin up then stop? (My TC-P42S1 fan does not spin up at all).

The two yellow shaded diodes are shorted. Any ideas?

you might be better off starting a new thread on your TV. they're 68uf 4v caps

C5689 sits across the sub 3.3v line, C9989 sits on the P1.8v_DDR2
