Seiki SE50FY28 No Video Power Control Board mixed up

Ok this tv came in with no power, no standby light. I had a replacment power supply and that did nothing because the power contol board and the rf board both run to a connection on the mainboard so I replaced the mainboard. Now I get the red standby light but when I click the power button I get nothing. So I decide to hit all of the buttons and when i click the vol.up button the standby light turns blue and the tv powers on, but no picture, and I don't even see a backlight.

Can you post pictures of the labels on both main boards
Can the cable from the on/off be connected the wrong way?

Pics left to right the first one is the old main board 2nd one is the new one. 3rd pic is the control board / rf connector with the white dot that I'm guessing should be pin #1 along with the arrow on the board. Doesn't seem that it can be plugged in the wrong way

Well may be good news and terrible news.
Sadly good news is the cable can only be plugged in one way.
Terrible news is I think your replacement board is for a 47 inch Seiki.

So you think the control board pin set might be different on the other model? didn't match the M/O # and the C/N #

The main board eeprom probably has a different dataset and drivers for the size of screen.
SJ are pretty good at saying which boards is for which set they do have both and they only mention the one set for each board.
If you got your board from them they will probably let you exchange it.

I finally got a chance to change out this board with one with the exact same board information as the original just to have it do the same thing as the wrong board. So now I'm guessing that I need to change the firmware for the board but can't find it. Anybody have a clue or know how I can get it?

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Hi all, I just want to share the repair of my 60PK550-UA TV set.

The TV set was powering on, just no image. After verification, nothing wrong on the YSus or ZSus boards. Nothing wrong on the main board either.

But I noticed that the LED was not flashing on the Logic Control Board. This is an EBR63450301. The LED is supposed to flash even with all the flat cables disconnected, with only the power cable attached.

All the voltages measured at the electrolytic capacitors on the board were good. From top left to bottom right:
                    C57: 3.30V
                    C61:...

                    • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
                    • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault
